I'm not going to use any code, I'm just going to say it was pretty sneaky what you did in your Volk vs Makhachev video, and I'm glad the British man with the beanie and the beard exposed you.
Japanese Karate is newer than the modern sport of boxing, in fact it was made to compete with it as a popular hobby, and TKD was created in the 1960s. Neither are traditional martial arts. Okinawan Karate was a traditional martial art but is based on people knowing how to wrestle (the national pastime of Okinawa) and use weapons. Japanese Karate was made as a sport, not as a self defense of combat art.

His fiancée knows first hand.
His trashtalk is underrated he comes out with some venom sometimes just like how he fights
Facts I think his supreme narcissism made for at times some chilling trash talk just due to his sheer confidence and self belief. Like during an interview with dc for their first fight where he said "You may take me down once or twice, but I promise that I will take you down and when I do I will keep you there". Yea you can tell he enjoys hurting people in anyway possible
Jon is insainly strong too, I remember when dc came out in the first round and thought he would run through jon in they're first fight and Jones just literally pushed him away like a child lol. He has great timing with his knees to the body too.
height is leverage lol
Like you said @9:35 DC also said he knew Jones was on a different level when he went his legs rather than head hunt him. That's a sign of a intellectual finisher. Very good breakdown, I kept thinking man you better talk about how he did Glover's shoulders. Glover said he never felt so stuck, Jones was hitting him with so many different stuff at once even his corner didn't know what to do.
I still remember watching him kicking out DC's leg in that moment and thinking, "Yep, this guy's just different."

Jon had exceptional speed for a lhw. Interesting to see how he moves at heavy and being older now..
I donât think heâs known for being especially fast. Gus had faster hands than him. Jons not a knock out artist, so if he wasnât able to finish many LHWs, I donât think heâs gonna be putting any heavyweights down, and especially not Gane who WILL be faster than Jon. đ€·đ»
He wasn't particularly fast then, and right now with new, more athletic folks at lhw his speed would be even less noteworthy. However jones' size and reach were exceptional for a lhw, so i see no problem with him competing against heavyweights, who are also on average less skilled than light heavyweights.
@@Jamesfrancosdog Idk man, I watched back some of his old fights recently and the speed really stuck out to me. It may not be what he was known for but I think it was a big part of his game. Gus definitely did have slightly faster hands when they fought, paired with similar size/reach. I'm not saying he was the fastest lhw ever but it was another important attribute. Anyway, I'm excited for the fight and I hope yall have a good time watching it. Cheers! :)
@@codylaxton3287
Jones wasn't physically fast ...his fight iq was just godly!
If you look at his fights, he would compute strikes to throw /mixe ups at such a fast pace that his opponents would freeze and wonder whats coming next....his output was fast while not even throwing combos or gasing...that and his reach is what gives the illusion that he was faster than he was
@@romariorene I'm not saying that's what he was known for. I'm saying it's a piece of his game that gets overlooked or is under appreciated. I just rewatched several of his old fights this past weekend and he was fast, much faster than I remember. Watch the Machida fight and tell me Jones wasn't fast and explosive af. Maybe it was the PEDs but the guy had speed back then. Now he's going to be bigger and older. At heavyweight maybe he's still relatively fast, but probably not compared to Gane. Gane is definitely a freak athlete. That's all I'm saying. â
He is skilled alright, but his eye pokes are his best weapon, he controls the range with those. Ciryl should wear swimming goggles blitz forward on this foo.

someone who got caught cheating by doping literally and factually can't be the GOAT, so he is most definitely not the greatest of all time, regardless of anybodies personal opinion of him. he wouldn't have been able to perform at the level he did if he hadn't been doping, and even then had some close fights.
his iq aint that high, he just abuses his physical advantage and steroids.

"He was on a level that was ahead of the competition for such a long time" ........ As soon as the PED's stopped his level dropped
So, what peds did he use to get as technical as he did in this video? Also, when will you be getting off of the couch?
Didn't he tested positive only for 1 dc fight, what am I missing?

People keep bringing up Glover being champ as an example that the division has no skill after JBJ left BUT Glover would have beat Jiri if it weren't for a brainfart in the last round and Jiri butchered poor Dom. And Dom arguably won against JBJ. I think the Glover who won the belt might have been a better fighter than the Glover who lost to JBJ. He probably lost a bit of physical ability but he got really, really crafty and used his old-man strength very well in his later career stage.
That's some real MMA math there my dude...
Glover almost won against a guy who won against a guy who arguably win against JBJ?
Honestly, the LHW division isn't very packed, compared to the others.
I think someone like Jiri, who is flashy, but lacks a lot of fundamentals would never have been Champion in any other division.
I like Hill, but him being the champ so soon says more about the other LHWs than it says about him...
@@maxwellsdemon10 It's already MMA math saying that because Glover lost to JBJ the division never moved past JBJs abilities. Just trying to add all the numbers in there.
it's true though. LHW is weaker. there were more complete fighters before than now. look at paul craig for example, beat ank and hill. has amazing bjj but if he cant get somebody down, the other guy wins without a doubt. jimmy crute beat paul craig and got destroyed by hill. walker destroyed by hill. walker destroyed the guy who made hill's arm a vegetable. meanwhile, way back when, you had jon jones winning multiple ways, dc winning multiple ways. gus has also won fights multiple ways. anthony rumble, although wasn't a complete fighter still ko'd glover in the 1st round. he couldnt do that to dc, a complete fighter. these fighters today get badly exposed by the previous prime LHW fighters. in lightweight, there's a reason why tony ferguson cant and will never be champion. its because hes old in a very good division. when charles gets old, he wont see a championship again in 155 either. if that doesnt prove LHW is weak right now, i dont know what does.
Your transition from Jones to Factor is brilliant.
Awesome insight about Jon having composure and thinking quickly enough to trip DC when he was hurt. That is something that can't be taught or trained I feel like. That recognition and ability to improvise in the moment. Unreal

jon has wrestling and has the experience, I'm not as excited for this fight as I was for francis vs jones cuz it's somehow hard to predict it can end anytime with the tremendous power of francis, against gane the fight will probably go to decision and jones will win it.

A lot of these techniques work well mostly because of Jon's length and athleticism. Longest legs and arms by far even more than current heavyweights like Ciryl Gane so at LHW it was crazy. Going forward, it's all about how he handle's the weight and how it effects his speed and power.
jon jones is the greatest ufc fighter of all time. i am very grateful to watch him live . hopefully he wins the heavyweight title.

Can u make a chito vs sanhagen breakdown :)
Jon Jones looks good when he's running through a division of people who are about to retire.
@theweasleMMA i was wondering if you could do a breakdown of Jon Jones vs Shogun rua.
Those elbows against Gus won Bones that fight. Jones was extremely dangerous and truly unorthodox in the early days. Fly double knees, spinning elbows, muy thai plum, huge takedown slams and trips.
IQ, killing instincts, skills, patience, range... This guy is just straight scary!
EDUCATE! Some newer fans know nothing, all they've seen is the tail end of a decade of title defenses at LHW. On the other hand they've seen Cyril dance around people.
Knee stomps are pretty brutal Rampage said his knee is still messed up because of Jones⊠if more fighters were stopped with it and had to take 1-2 years to recover im sure UFC would have an issue with it.
Man, Iâm so excited to see jones back in the octagon.
His jabbing elbows are where he pulled away from Rashad in their fight.
Damn the leaning and opponent manipulation comes straight from wrestling, he really just added spinning elbows. Which believe it or not is harder said than done.
Qui-Gon Jinn has become one with the force
Finally, a video doing justice to Jon Jones skills'. Jony should tag this in his social.
He should tag the video that breaks down how he's been juicing his entire career
@@talesthesalesman3106 Chill! Everyone is on steroids.
@@martinwairokpam7184 but that's basically you admitting yes, jones is a cheater. A cheater can't be the goat, end of story.
@@talesthesalesman3106 he can be if he never lost

He's only been decent when on 10+ performance enhancers as well as blowcaine he's lost his killer instinct and the judges saved him against Reyes.
Dude reyes was saved he only got a 50 percent of jones
