    Did these Jozi lite dreads because I loved how natural they look. Here’s my experience for those that are interested in installing them. They are lightweight which is good because the tension you experience when you have installed will decrease within a day or two. They get puffy if you detangle them roughly so when you finger detangle be gentle because this fibre is very stretchy so an aggressive pull will make them puffy, I’d suggest that you use a conditioner to finger detangle, it does the job. When you experience puffing I’d suggest that if you have leftover locs wrap them around the entire loc to seal the puffiness( wrap normally like you doing those soft locs). This admin is unnecessary but all dread like locs tend to shred but the scale of shredding for this one is too much. This is not to take away from how gorgeous they look.

      Before you wrap the left over loc, unravel it until it looks like afro hair.

      Jozi is really great quality and lightweight. If you love length then definitely Jozi will give what you want. If you like a more Rihanna inspired look then definitely go for durban dread.

    Trying this hairstyle for the first time on Thursday and I am nervous out of my mind. So many people have told me about the risks of my hairline receding and hair breakage. This really calmed my anxiety a little. Thank you so much hun. 🤍

    • @GlowandGrowwithNaya
      @GlowandGrowwithNaya Před rokem +1

      Questions:
      1. Is there any pain I might expirience when doing this hairstyle?
      2. How long should I wait before I can tie them up and style them without tugging too much at my scalp?
      3. Is there a method I can use to curl them?
      4. Can I wash them as I would normal braids after say 2 weeks?
      5. How long can I usually keep them on?
      Follow up: Can I refresh these by twisting/elastic tightening or do I have to redo them?

    • @tersiatshabalala5661
      @tersiatshabalala5661  Před rokem

      Thank you for the watching and I am happy to hear that this tutorial has calmed down your news.
      1. Yes you may feel pain, depending on how much you pull your hair, so how tight your hair should be, depends on you. Remember the aim is for the hairstyle to be neat not painful so focus on making straight lines and less on tighten the hair too much. The hairstyle is meant to look natural so be gentle and do not braid your baby hairs.
      2. You can style your hair immediately and style it however you want if you are gentle with the tightening.
      3. I have not tried to curl the hair but try using bendy rollers and dip in hot water and put some conditioner in the water.
      4. Yes you can wash your hair normally as you would with braids. This method really keeps the hair intact so if done correctly none of the locs will slip off.
      5. You can keep them for up to 8 weeks however if you have natural hair, you can keep them up to 3 months.
      6. I wouldn't recommend twisting as it may damage your hair especially the hair line so I suggest you get marley Fibre or the same Fibre if you have some dreads left and unravel them. Then resection the hair for clean look, you can use gel to ensure you got all the hairs and just use the hair to wrap from the hair growth to refresh the hairstyle.
      I hope I answered all your questions clearly. All the best with the hair. Tag me on tiktok once you have tried the hairstyle.

You guys need to be comfortable with the hair God gave you and make the best of it by using natural products to grow your hair.
