I was so heart broken to have found out only last week that he was retiring. I was hoping Paris would be his last Olympics then sign of in Tokyo next year. I wish him the best

@@Garymanders Actually nearer to 30 years but just before that, there was another meet where Edwards exceeded his current world record twice, the longest was 18.43m. It was rejected as the wind speed was 2.4m I think? If that wind speed was a little less then that WR would now be unassailable.

Taylor great athlete..but Edwards is obviously the greatest ever triple jumper..Taylor and the rest are standing on his.shoulders.
He didn’t change anything; Jonathan Edwards did that, and is the greatest of all time.
