    Dead right about the fret finish - well polished, shiny & smooth, and also about the truss road. My Martin DM has very slight a "swan-neck" at the joint end due to the deep set truss rod!. I too like the "crispy" sound of my Eastman.

    I own an Eastman Arch top acoustic. It wasn't inexpensive, but it sounds and plays and looks as good (or better) than top end American made Arch tops costing more than twice as much. The case is a little less quality than the Gibsons but is OK. I think they have stopped offering the all acoustic arch tops now and only offer them as electrics. I'm glad I got mine while they were still available. I frankly would have chosen a Gibson L-series for the cool factor but they cost nearly 5 grand.

    Excellent points!
    Eatmans gives the most vallue..Take a 1200$ Martin and compare it with a 1200$ Eastman and you will see what vallue is all about.

    Hey my asian guy from Amplitude Music, tell me...is Eastman acoustic guitars are better than Blueridge acoustic guitars? Since they are both made in china, i really want your opinion cause i can't decide if i will buy an Eastman or a Blueridge??? Blue ridge seems to be a very well made guitar too!

      > Denis Prieur - I'm 74 - if that has anything ta do with this - I've been fortunate enough to have been allowed to hang out in what has become a very Good Friend of mine's vintage guitar store - in Sumner, Washington - for nearly 20 years - I asked him - between Blueridge and Eastman - his reply was that Eastman - if you take the trouble to look inside at the construction it is notably "Cleaner" all around than Blueridge - ANY WAY he advised me to go with Eastman - concerning the mentioned "Shiny" frets, I would be inclined to believe that they might, indeed, be Stainless - which I've heard tell last "Forever" and have a Great Feel And sound - I hope this helps --- Snortin' Morton

      William Morton , thank you very much! I have my eye on either slope shoulder mmodels e-20 ss, or the e-10 ss, or the top of the line..the E-40-D! This one is just like the Martin D-42, except for the head stock..but man...1/3 of the price....and sounds as good..if not better!!!

      >Denis - I just received my Eastman HE 120 by UPS this afternoon - She's Not Fancy - OR - Sparkley - BUT - this is the ONLY Guitar I've ever acquired - that I can recall - that DID NOT require any work on my part to Intonate it - Out of the Box she is PERFECTLY INTONATED - That's a Bonus in My Book - Plus the bracing that I can see is nicely Scalloped - and - as my Guitar Store Proprietor Friend told me - everything I can see of the inside of the guitar is Quite Clean - Also NO Sharp Ended Frets - ALL very Nicely Dressed - Just Thought You'd Like Ta Know - the E Series oughta be just Superb --- Snortin' Morton

      William Morton. Tank you William! You"ve convinced me! I will buy the eastman instead of blueridge! But i still can' t decide wich one i will choose!

    Eastman makes beautiful guitars, but until they move from dovetail, glued neck joints to modern, bolt on necks, they won't be able to effectively complete with Taylor...

      Taylor makes guitars with bolt on necks????

    • @brettkramer
      @brettkramer Před 6 lety

      Hey Jonathan, here's a video that talks about Taylor's, "NT" (New Technology) bolt on necks: czcams.com/video/Uo2TX7Pzsgo/video.html A much better idea when your neck needs adjustments years down the road.

    • @LegsON
      @LegsON Před 6 lety +1

      Well they're trying to get certain sound, I'm sure.
      Taylor doesn't compete with them already, as their guitars cost much more.

    • @williammorton7044
      @williammorton7044 Před 6 lety

      Set Necks vs Bolt on Necks will be argued over as long as the 45 vs the 9mm - I'm 74 - I don't give a you know what about longevity - I'm attempting to purchase an Eastman - If I can make my way thru this Damnedable Computor Obstacle Course - BUT - I'd also love to have a Collings - or 2 - or more - which, of course are Bolt On's - they're ALL capable of producing MANY MORE Good Sounds than most of US are --- Snortin' Morton

      Martin has used dovetail neck joints for years on their high end guitars - nuff said...

    Some other 'features.'
    The neck profile is not for everyone. The frets feel like speed bumps. Even after a professional setup, the frets were a problem. I've owned 3, and tried out a 4th. They were all sent back to where I bought them, except a E10D, which I sold. They are great sounding guitars, but there needs to be some change in the neck/frets for these guitars to work for me.

      Hey, I see ur comments al over. Why are u spamming ab Eastman Frets? The one I have plays as good as my Taylor and BETTER than an L-00 Gibson I recently tried.
