The Poughkeepies Tapes- Ways of how people died; some people say it’s based on a real person 4. Salo- This movie, Do Not -Watch- it………………..
I have seen Poughkeepsie tapes myself and it was truly a disturbing experience. They showed a lot of the tapes without blurring them out. I had to take multiple breaks throughout watching and was even nauseous at some points

There is the story that the men who owns the channel, killed his wife, then bought the doll to replace her... Give me the chills.
The reason why the exorcist banned was because of the flashing lights in the trailer that was showing in theaters. People have gotten seizures or acted abnormally because of it.

Its so weird how i do not like horror movies, yet I watched “The Exorcist” 1973 so easily. I had no nightmares or anything. I still dont get it. My dad says that its prob because I dont believe in demons, devils, spirits etc.
i think the reason the exorcist isn’t very scary is because we know ghosts and stuff isn’t real, it’s way scarier when a movie is about things that could happen in real life
This list as a whole is…off. It’s like comparing a halloween episode of SpongeBob to literally any actual horror movie. Salo is…..it’s literally just sexual depravity enacted on teenagers….based on a true story. The others are fake snuff films and then there’s Exorcist….
The movie was released when my grandma was a teen, it was pretty much *the* movie that was off it’s rocker at the time. As in it was scary back then. Now it’s not that scary because it has what we consider today “cheesy” graphics. But The Exorcist pretty much put graphic horror movies on the map. It might’ve been banned in the 1970s and not this past decade.
lemme explain these… 1. i haven’t seen but i’ll get back to u when i look into it 2. salo; rly disturbing, don’t watch if ur triggered by SA, about a bunch of facing men who take a group of children captive and filter out the “flawed” ones. The remaining ones are tortured in rly rly messed up ways for 120 days. 3. poughkeepsie tapes; creepy more than disturbing; don’t watch if ur triggered by abuse/kidnapping, a found footage film/fake documentary about a kidnapper who strategically filmed all of his attacks, kidnapps, and killings. rly well done movie, and the first times i watched it, i was convinced it was a real documentary. 4. exorcist; disturbing for it’s time, but pretty tame now. about a young girl who becomes possessed and it shows the process of her exorcism.
Film banning has always been an interesting concept to me. You can always get an interesting understanding of the culture at the time a film was banned, especially with older horror. The genre itself has always been a topic of discourse, and what is viewed as either acceptable or unacceptable in horror throughout different cultures and time periods is interesting. Especially when talking about films that were previously banned but had the ban lifted- or that aren't regulated.

Least disturbing to most disturbing in my opinion
1. The Exorcist- It’s just scary. The only thing that was disturbing is what happened to the little girl on set.
2.The Bunny Game- One person being tortured
3. The Poughkeepies Tapes- Ways of how people died; some people say it’s based on a real person
4. Salo- This movie, Do Not -Watch- it………………..
Why aren't any of the human centipede movies on this list? Those movies are another level of nasty.
I have seen Poughkeepsie tapes myself and it was truly a disturbing experience. They showed a lot of the tapes without blurring them out. I had to take multiple breaks throughout watching and was even nauseous at some points

Its so weird how i do not like horror movies, yet I watched “The Exorcist” 1973 so easily. I had no nightmares or anything. I still dont get it. My dad says that its prob because I dont believe in demons, devils, spirits etc.
Yeah the exorcist isn't really a scary movie it just has some scenes that a lot of people find disturbing but that movie just bored me tbh...
i think the reason the exorcist isn’t very scary is because we know ghosts and stuff isn’t real, it’s way scarier when a movie is about things that could happen in real life
This list as a whole is…off.
It might’ve been banned in the 1970s and not this past decade.
personally it’s a classic horror movie and seems scary back then when we were younger. but rewatching it-yeah it’s not the same lmao💀
The Poughkeepsie tapes is good tho. It's like a real documentary movie. But, it just a fiction movie.
lemme explain these…
1. i haven’t seen but i’ll get back to u when i look into it
2. salo; rly disturbing, don’t watch if ur triggered by SA, about a bunch of facing men who take a group of children captive and filter out the “flawed” ones.
I don’t think Salo should be allowed anywhere. Just look it up, disgusting.
@@th3.f0r3st I'm a believer in no censorship so I don't agree with you. It's pretty easy to just not watch something if you aren't okay with it.

The Poughkeepsie Tapes I very vividly remember seeing a trailer for when I went to see the movie Cloverfield back in 2008'. I remember thinking, 'wtf is that?' Then never seeing it again. I later found out that a theatrical release was banned due to its content. The movie was a fictional pseudo-bio about a serial killer who kidnapped and tortured women. Years later I actually discovered the movie on accident, and it's actually very creepy and good! The "found footage" esthetic was very unnerving in some parts and I was entertained. It's not a gore fest snuff type ordeal like some of the other movies listed, but its definitely worth a watch if you can find it.
