Love this. I’ve been training in the pool this winter. Most of the videos and books make it waaaay more complicated than it needs to be. This video was instructional, easy to understand and Gert is unassuming, funny and a very likeable personality. Thank you Gert.
thanks for the kind words RayGun! pool training doesn't need to be complicated. especially at a beginner level. Playing and having fun is far more important to create positivity and motivation. The brain needs to enjoy the training ✌️
I practice DNF in the pool all the time but I never thought about turning it into CNF training by doing static holds to replicate the free fall. Thanks for the tip! I’m going to try it in the pool tomorrow 😄
Impressive.
💪🏻🤓 Well, that one is the best video of your channel!!!! No editing,no cuts! Just pure true!!!! Great Job!
thanks Garry highly appreciated! 🙏 I try out different formats and this one just came naturally. Glad you like it! 😊🙏
Great to see. In my local 25m pool, I always start with a length (or more) underwater - even if I'm there with my children.
@@gertleroy Exactly - and then another 25m breath hold...It's always calmer underwater!!
As always a great video. I thought the 30 aecond static would be done underwater too? I could not even do 25m and 25m back at this point.. good to see your technique though and actually in the water!
Thanks Richard. Yes actually doing the breathhold under water would be better, it depends on how many weights you have on you. I guess I thought I wouldn't be able to read my dive computer under water that's why I came up. Good point!
Hi. Im doing dynamic underwater and always i cant do swimmining underwater more than 50 meters no matter whether it is no fins or fins. I dont know why it is happen.
50m is already quite something, especially without fins. don't be too hard on yourself. Freediving at an advanced level takes years of training. 50 is ok. peace.
How heavy is your neck weight?
this one is 800gr it's the one I use for deep diving with 1.5mm wetsuit. More weight in the pool would give me more glide, but that's not what I'm looking for.
Can you teach me how to hold my breath 5minute?
And how we stoomach when us hold our breath, thank
I'll do my best 😊 I'll make a video soon about breathups and that includes static as well. ✌️
@@gertleroy i just wanna can dynamic freediving, but when i hold breath when i sit can hold 2 minute, but when i hold my breath and start to dynamic freediving when on the water just 5 second after i start make me my cest wanna breath again, but when i sit i can hold 2 minute, when i start to dynamic fd i just can hold it 5 second.
Could you give me some tips?
@@sugoidesu3761 it's all about getting comfortable in the water. The moment you feel like a fish in the water is the moment you can hold your breath longer. At your level i advise you to go follow a course so you can be taught the basic principles of freediving. All the best ! and always dive with a buddy! cheers
@@gertleroy thank,i will try it
I from indonesia ,in indonesia not famous, very much people don't know about it,so i try it alone when my friend swimming at sea,so i just try dynamic,so hard,my friend just laught at me about freediving, but i always try it,i want 50m dynamic fd without fins.
Thank friend,i will improve my apnea
@@sugoidesu3761 all the best and please inform yourself about the dangers of freediving. It's a bad idea trying these things out on your own, or with a friend that doesn't have experience either in freediving. People die by loosing consciousness under water.. Please go find someone with experience who can guide you through the first steps! Cheers!
Too much ceremony! The duration you do in the pool is way longer than in the deep see. The pool has no current.
