I cant call it home if I cant take a shower or toilet comftably. I think thats what makes a home rather than having kitchen or a bed. You can always order a food or buy/sleep in a couch but you cant order a toilet 😂

What is SO SCARY is that your vehicle has no bulkhead protection. An accident might just send all those mirrors and stuff heading as projectiles towards you. Unfortunately I rarely see any of these conversions address this safety issue

No electricity bills, water bills, rates, etc etc etc but parking on a camp site every night would cost far more. I'd be interested to know just how many nights she gets to sleep without being moved along and told to go to a camp site. Here in Australia you'd need to be deep in the arse end of nowhere (which is basically most of Australia) but anywhere near any town the cops would be on you like flies on a Big Mac.
As long as you park in different locations every night. I have found residential areas best. Just as long as your van doesn't look like shit or serial killer ish. You are fine. Nobody is the wiser.

love that you got a toilet in that small space. Did you think about getting an compost toilet that vented down through the floor instead of the cartridge? Do you have gym membership for showers or an outdoor shower, is there any heat beside the electric and can you run that off your solar?

I think this is a beautiful build. It is bright and airy with tastefully colored accents and real looking wood framed windows. It is very inviting and not claustrophobic at all like many others. Very nicely put together. I read there are quite a few people making personal comments here about things they know nothing about and are not their business.. Negative catty comments. To Lisa I say ignore them.

@@wastebaskets No you are right. Its wasted space. Instead of having a queen sized bed take one of those side couches out and there is plenty of space for a shower/toilet combo. You tack on a black water tank right under the van.

Lisa sounds like she knows what she;s talking about, though experience. it's also obvious that she is intelligent and articulate and has her life in gear and that is my guess as to why so many comments are negative towards her. People, there's no need to compare yourselves to her in a negative way, you too can achieve your dreams and find who you really are in life and go with it! Hi Lisa, A philosophy of the road and your life is a great idea. The idea of living in the moment is a great plan. I learn a lot by listening to people in the traveling van life. I want to try it soon. However, I will probably have a permanent landing zone, Being licensed in California limits my roving other states options but Ca is pretty diverse so I'll just have to make do. It sound s as thought you are doing all you want to do. I never settled one one thing I wanted to be but I am something. Learning about everything is good. I think your right to experience everything that interests you. I hope you make it work for you at all times. Happy Trails.

I'm digging that reclined seating. First time i've seen this done despite watching an unhealthy amount of van conversions, tiny home, boating videos on CZcams. Surprising that in most cases people settle for level right-angle seating and give no consideration to how this could more resemble seating found in houses.
