Elizabeth Montgomery was so impressed with Paul Lynde in this episode, that she asked him to play Uncle Arthur in later episodes.
No wonder I started asking myself why uncle Arthur called his niece misses Stevens. Thank you. Now I know.
Well now that makes sense‼️ I always wondered how that came about. Thank you Harper‼️. BTW, I love your first name.
Oh really! Well he was an asset! Should have done many more than he did.
That explains why the 'jump' in characters.
Awesome episode ❤❤
@@Mcfreddo Paul Lynde practically appeared in every other TV sitcoms of the 60's.
"P for park" seems perfectly right! 😜
Paul Lynde is such a great actor and comedian in his time.
YES VERY FUNNY .... i dream of gennie ...he was tax inspector ...was again funny...
You fly but you don't know how to drive?
I drive but I do not know how to fly. LOLOLO!!
I don’t know 🤷♀️ neither 😂😅🤣
Absolutely love this episode and always loved Paul Lynde especially when he played Uncle Arthur 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love this show and miss it watching that full episodes....best show from the 70s. Miss Elizabeth Montgomery she was always my favorite actress....💖💖
The show ran from 1964 till 1972. Really a show from the 1970s.
Yay! Thank you for creating this clip. This was my submission for the funniest line of the show: Paul Lynde yelling, "Selfish!" out the car window.
Perfect, there was a fortune in cars in this episode, I still have my Dad's 55 Chevy and it was our family car we drove during the time this show was on air. Elizabeth was such a dear and I wish her life had been more peaceful and Hollywood still hasn't changed.
Do you know what kind of car 🚙 was in the scene when Samantha was doing the U-turn? It was green or turquoise, I believe.
@@dianetheisen8664 It is a Corvair Monza Spider I believe, I got to work on one when I was 17 back in 74. My Boss owned one he had bought brand new, he owned the car dealership in Lindsey, CA.
@@kennysherrill6542 Our neighbors across the street have a mint condition '65 Corvair Monza they keep in their garage. I'm always pestering them to sell it to me. No luck.
All the cars were Chevies.
@@kennysherrill6542 Thank you
One of my favorite episodes! I love the size of his tranquilizer and his helmet LOL
They should see the cars that can parallel park themselves now! I wonder if they saw this and said, gee that would be cool.
There's a CZcams video called "World's worst attempt at parallel parking" that has nearly 7 million views that went viral a decade ago that's funny.
Do you know how they would have done the last scene, take shots of different car positions, cut the film and patch the film together?. It would be interesting if they had done a documentary to explain how they did some of the more demanding tricks.
Strange she doesn't even recognize her own uncle Arthur. 😉
Nor he, her.
That's what I was thinking
Paul Lynde's first appearance on Bewitched was not playing Uncle Arthur. He played a driving instructor.
I remember Nick at Nite using the clip of Samantha parallel parking in a commercial when they first started airing Bewitched”And can she parallel park!”
All Episodes With Paul Lynde were Exceptional he was Hilarious 😊
One of my favorite episode's, with Uncle Arthur!!! He is a blast, I love him!!!! On Hollywood Square's, he was alway's picked!!!! My favorite comedian!!!! He is so hilarious!!!!! 😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣........ 🌹🌹🌹🌹.....
And the memories come rushing in of my dad's Gold '65 Chevy Impala and my mothers baby blue '63 Corvair. What a great time to be alive! :-D
👏👏I love this episode. I don't know for you, but when Harold (Paul Lynde) yells by the car window "selfish, selfish", that was the funniest moment for me. 😂🤣😂🤣
Second funniest moment: when he eats his big biscuit. 😂
I am cracking up laughing. That was a classic episode.
"Selfish...Selfish"..Paul Lynne was a Hoot.
Samantha is blessed she didn't get a ticket. Elizabeth & Paul Lynde were great together.
She's not blessed.
She's magic!✨️
I remember when my mom was trying to learn how to drive a car. We were coming from Lincoln to Decatur and just got near University and she hit a milk truck.
One of my favorite episodes.
It's a 1965 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe if anyone cares. Americans knew how to build beautiful cars in the past. Today not so much.
All the cars in this episode are Chevies, even random traffic!
Considering Chevrolet co-sponsored "Bewitched" from 1964 to 1969, no surprise here. "Hazel," which was co-sponsored by Ford from 1961 to 1965, had nothing but Fords in its episodes, either...
And Darrin always had a brand new Chevy and some episodes is like having a commercial for the new Chevy products.
@@gcfifthgear the Chevy cars always looked Cooler than the Fords.
@@barronridge5613 There was one episode where Samantha is trying to garner support for UNICEF and several other women drove away, one right after the other, in a complete display of the 1969 Chevrolet cars (except the Corvair!)
@@gcfifthgear a whole parking lot of brand new Chevrolets but the rich lady should have had a Cadillac.
Love the gold on that 65 impala
Good manual hand operated door locks. If I was Samantha I would have zapped myself all the lessons. Yeah, I know, I know, she wanted to do it the mortal way.
fab episide too good full ones please too good
Tomorrow morning there will be a full episode.
Fab? Are we in the 70's?
samantha does a good job driving. uncle arthur is a good driving instructor
Love this episode
My Dad had a metallic blue '65 Impala SS, I loved that car!
I believe this episode was originally done in black and white. Interesting to see it in color.
This is a bit like that driving test bit in the movie Clueless.

This episode is funny from the first line. I love it when Sam comes telling Darrin that she's ready for her driving lesson. Darrin basically tells her after the game. I love it when Sam tells him why should i learn drive when i can fly, then she tells that she saves on gas, oil, and she always finds a parking place. Darrin wasn't amused.
Sam wanted to start dinner, so she stopped the game. ❤
Uncle Arthur lol
Paul Lynde was great in this episode. Later he played uncle Arthur
Time to relax.
That is hilarious
interestingly, there was an inventor back in the 50's that made an add on for a car that Would allow it to parallel park like that, by having a 5th wheel that would lower from the inside of the trunk. but I think it was just been a prototype and didn't catch on unfortunately.
you can see the Vid about it here on YT : "1950s Car Had An Extra Wheel To Help With Parking"
This one was very funny
If you want to learn how to drive, don’t ever let a warlock 🧙♂️ teach you 😅😂🤣 unless you want to die 😂🤣
Which episode is this?
What fun! It was so cold that day of filming in California of all places that you could see their breath! A touch of reality......love it! And of course, ETERNAL LOVE for Liz & Paul!!!!😍😍
That's it, slide it on in there.
And insert Uncle Arthur the wise cracking practical joking warlock and Endora’s younger brother
The irony is in season six Sam taught Uncle Arthur to drive
Isn’t that uncle Arthur?!
Beautiful old Chevys in this series. A fortune in todays money.
Back then, nobody wore seat belts
Hand signals?
Yup--hand 🖐 signals.
@@johnball8758 Yes they would. There were still a lot of old people driving and they drove cars with no signals. In 1966 a senior citizen was born at the turn of the century.
Isn't it because cars didn't have light signals, yet?
ROFL!
Uncle Arthur
If owned they 1965 chev impallo I would note teach annyy One drive in . Mint condiy
She doesn't recognise her own uncle Arthur?
This was before he got that role. Maybe a season or two. 👌🏾
On that note, does Arthur not recognize his niece❓️
@@dianetheisen8664 very true
Isn't this Samantha's uncle?
the 'uncle' character is created later...
I d be a terrible sam. I d just atwitch my nose amd make the car go
givin that she has lived for over 300 years, how come she never took driving lessons before or that she's so naive about humans?
She didn't have to take driving lessons before, because she lived like a witch, and witches don't drive, they fly or transport themselves using their magical powers! She had to learn how to drive when she entered the mortal world...
WOW
