Would've been amusing to do a Belgium run where the goal is to max out population growth as much as possible (maybe even discouraging immigration at some point to make sure it's natural growth), entitled "Stupid Sexy Flanders."

It's absolutely crazy to me that about a decade ago, I watched you play Eu3 as England and here I am still, watching you play a sequel(ish). Some things never change.
Cannot tell you how excited I am to see this come up. I have not been as interested in the other games Quill is playing and have felt his absence.
Belgium Waffling Revolutionaries. The tastiest, most despicable of breakfast stuffs. One is larger than the other, with a crown made of whipped cream representing silver and many sliced fruit pushed into the whipped cream like gems. The second smaller waffle is covered in chopped roasted vegetables that usually has a savory sauce or gravy commonly made with left over grease from meat cooked from last nights dinner or what another is eating for breakfast.
It's said this dish was created several by a General Évain when he hosted a small gathering for the king and a few others in honor of a revolution he'd been a part of several years ago to voice his displeasure at trying to be forced to turn against his views and morals.

Transvaal and Oranje have a lot of gold, it just needs to be discovered first. You should definitely go for those!
Venezuela (north coast of south america) does too, i usually tries to get both places when i play
Brunei into Sintang is also a good choice for gold i believe. Or puppeting Oman for the native interests.

That's a myth .
Most chopped off hands were from sharia law before the Belgians came and sharia was officially outlawed in 1895.
And the famous picture of a doctor next to a kid , the kid lost his hand from an animal attack.
And don't forget they still chop off hands in 3 countries today.
@@Medikto I'm pretty skeptical of that. Islam is not and was not prevalent in the Congo. From what I've read, the company soldiers were supposed to be executing the enslaved workers and then cutting off hands as proof, but sometimes they'd take pity and only cut off the hand they were expected to show and let them escape. So, it was uncommon for people to be living as amputees, if only because they were supposed to be murdered.

Why Propertied Women? Pop growth is more important than workforce ratio early game, especially for a small country like Belgium. And aren't we the bad guys?
Gonna try to learn the game again through this playthru. My Paradox skill seems to be stuck with CK2, CK3, and HoI4.

To offset the nasty of imperialism a bit, I force myself into a some restrictions, like disallowing colonial exploitation and only invading countries that have a lower literacy and living standards, so that we're _actually_ improving the life at least. And of course, I go for less discrimination as a very high priority.
Belgium was very powerful in Vicky 1 and 2. Haven't played it in 3 yet, so many interesting choices in the world :D My latest playthrough was Joseon Korea; it's quite tricky throwing off the shackles of Qing soon enough to still be relevant on the global stage (finished 5th, so still a lot of things I could do better).

When looking at trades of a good, clicking on the word 'productivity' in the columns alternates between low-to-high and high-to-low.
If he changed the "jobseekers" to "peasants" on the building interface it would be handy too. The jobseekers number is pretty useless.

Prussia forming into Germany and Brazil are my two favorite nations so far but now I'll have to try Belgium.

Seeing this lets play pop up in my dash recently made me reinstall Vicky 3 for myself. I'm slowly getting it but sometimes the knowledge feels JUST out of reach and I feel so lost.
