    Chuck, I'd like to see you sharpen and/or strop these corner knives. My fear of purchasing them is that I'd have a hard time in keeping them scary sharp like you've got them.

    Great video as usual. I'd love to see a Leather Element about how to keep veg-tan from getting so stiff after dyeing it.

    Hey Chuck, I'm very new to leather. Your videos help a lot. I made the first project a long wallet for the wife for Xmas and working on a belt for me. I even installed a zipper. My edging still needs a lot of work. Hand sewing is hard on the hands but getting better. I do watch your live shows, too .

    Key ring heaven with those things. I will try a curved chisel first. To test before I buy. Love the inspiration and enthusiasm of this channel. And the leather verse work really motivates me to try something new.😊

    Every time I thought the video was over you had another idea or example. Do you get help with ideas for tool uses, or do you come up with all of this? There's so much in this one video, you outdid yourself.

    Chuck, you’re awesome! The way you make every single step of the project feel like it’s the best part, is just astonishing to me! Thanks for the videos and keep them coming! Wondering if there was a chance you could make a video of crafting a belt sheath/holster for a Leatherman multi-tool! I know there are a lot of ways to make them so I think that would be a cool video! Thanks again!

    Chuck, thanks for the ideas with the knives. Have you made the templates available for purchase? I have not been able to get the placement of the knives correct.

    New to leather and your videos have been awesome help and inspirational. Have a project that want to attach buckles to and wondering best way to go about it. Using 7/8 veg. Is it best to wrap like a belt and then attach to work piece? or use small strap and rivet on both sides of buckle?

    • @WeaverLeatherSupply
      @WeaverLeatherSupply  Před 5 měsíci

      Thank you so much for watching! It depends a little bit on the project but usually buckles can be attached the way you would on a belt where you add an oblong hole and wrap the leather around the center or heel of the buckle and rivet in place.

    Chuck that was awesome. I saw some book makes that used a magnet in them. It was like the key chains that is on Wevers website. I would love to make some for my grandchildren. Do you have any thoughts or ideas?

    • @WeaverLeatherSupply
      @WeaverLeatherSupply  Před 6 měsíci

      Those are really neat! It's basically just two magnets sandwiched in between two pieces of leather and you could go a bunch of ways as far as the shape of the leather!

    What’s the best way to sharpen the Corner Knife?

  • @saitamagotchi44

    I wonder how tough those knives are to sharpen, i imagine they would be awkward to use when anything other than well sharpened.

      I keep on thinking curved chisels would be a cheap starting point for beginning with these tools.

    • @maddawgnoll
      @maddawgnoll Před 7 měsíci

      @@anthony-fichisels in general are good substitutes for all kinds of things. All you gotta do it make em sharp. I bought harbor freight cheapest you can imagine set and sharpened them to a polish and use them for cutting slots in in between holes in place of a bag punch, skiving, squaring up my edges to name a few.
