  • Perfect Investment Driver! This 1974 Corvette runs excellent, and needs nothing to enjoy. Jump in and drive it! Brakes stop evenly and the motor has been recently overhauled producing 244whp and 314tq! It sounds great as well! Paint is very very nice. All lights work, including the headlights lids! All gauges work with no bouncing issues! VEHICLE LINK BELOW:

I think the 74 marked the decline of the corvette, what they did to the rear bumper is just unforgivable

Yeah it looks like an ass crack. And removing the mufflers didn’t do it any favors. Sounds nice but the missing mufflers ruined the aesthetic. An appropriate set of flow masters or magnaflows would have given it a nice sound and look great as well.

I had that same car for 7 years in the 70's and 80's. I got a lot of complements on the color. That was the last vette made without cat's. Mine was an L-82 with a SB 400 I put in. It went 160 MPH With the stock M22 and 3:55 gears.

For the guys that don't believe you, all I can say is that I pity them. I owned a 1974 Stingray back in the day, and yes, it will go 160+ no doubt. How do I know? The police officer told me that he clocked me at 167mph. This was in 1986, in the middle of the Mojave Desert. He said if I'd been in a populated area, he'd have to arrest me for attempted reckless homicide, but since it was in the middle of the desert, I just got a $35 dollar ticket. I was 21 at the time and the officer wasn't much older than me. We sat at talked cars for about 30 minutes before we parted ways. I miss that car... and I miss the 80s too. Great times.
I wish I still had it. I miss that car.

The real Walking Tall Sheriff Buford Pusser was awarded a maroon 1974 Corvette by Gene Crump Chevrolet in late 1973. Buford was traveling fast headed home from the McNairy County county fair August 20, 1974, the same day he signed a contract with Bing Crosby Productions, and was going to play himself in the next movie, instead of Joe Don Baker. He went into a skid on a 2 lane highway, came back up on the road and hit a bank, throwing Buford, who was 6'6" , 250 lbs., through the open roof. The car burned completely without the gas tank exploding. His 13 yr old daughter Dwana, who was riding with friends, dragged him away from the burning car. His neck was broken. Buford Hayse Pusser, 36, was pronounced dead, August 21, 1974. Most everyone who knew Buford, think something was done to the tie rood ends, however, it was never proved. Chevrolet in Nashville inspected the burnt car. There aare a couple of turds on YT trying to trash Bufords legacy. I think tgey just found a way to capitalize on someone else's misfortune. Two panty-waist grown men crying because Bing Crosbt Productions took a few liberties in the movie. They also claim Buford planned the ambush that killed his wife Pauline, August 12, 1967. The back of her head was shot off. He took 2, possibly 3 slugs from an automatic rifle into his left jawline and chin. He underwent 14 surgeries...I think that Buford, if wanting to off his wife, ( he didnt) couldve found a much easier way, than to risk an ambush at a 100+ mph, and being killed himself. The killers were never caught. He thinks Kirsey Nix, Jr., ordered the hit. Nix is still in prison in 2024. Buford loved his vette. He also loved his Lincoln Continental, and pulled a wad of Jimmy Buffet's hair out one night when he came out of his hotel room only to find Buffet walking on the hood in golf shoes. Buffet's friend, received a broken nose. Buffet tells tge funny store on YT. Hope yall enjoyed this memory. Buford's wife, Pauline, was exhumed 2 weeks ago for an autopsy that was never done in 67. Im going to bet she died from multiple gunshots to the head. The 67 Fury, had 11 bullet holes in the metal, and windows shattered. Keyboard cowboys living in their Momma's basement, say Buford's injury was....a flesh wound.

Puts fresh air in the car from by your feet when open. Not enough in hot weather but in cool climates theoretically you could drive with the windows up with these vents open and the hvac set to vent, this will also open the rear deck grilles to allow total air flow in and out, that was the Astro Ventilation that you see on some Corvette side windows. Still nothing beats air conditioning in these cars! 😀

Shouldn't be hard to find, they made enough of them.
      8,862 M20 wide ratio
      3,494 M21 close ratio
So that's about 33% of all 74 Vettes had a 4-speed. The M21 should say was available 454 or L82 only.

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned
from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the
Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by
reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated
central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down
all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From
2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as
exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox
oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no
investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even
created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. Called Bundesabgasbespaßungsverordnung :-(///
