    Excellent and informative video. One of my customers just asked if he could use his mobile phone to open and close his ROGER Smarty 7 auto gates I installed and your video perfectly answered his question. Muggins here will probably end up installing this relay. On the ROGER Edge 1 control panel the NO cable from this relay would go to terminal 35, the PP input. Many thanks.

    Great one. After setting this up, are you still able to use the wireless 433mhz (I suppose) remotes for controlling the gate over and above the mobile apps?

    Hello. I enjoyed the video. I installed a similar smart relay for my gate door. It works fine BUT now the remote control I was using up to now does not work. Is it possible fix this?

    Thank you for the video, I did two similar to this (one for the garage door and another one for the gate) but I don't have the inching mode on smartthings and I had to add a routine for auto-off after 1 second.
    Now I'm after a device that will give me an indication of the gate's situation.
    The gate has limit switches and I want to use them for that purpose. All I need is a wifi device that whether the circuit is open or closed.
    Do you know such a device?

    I don't have a wifi network but it looks like this board could be used with the app by connecting through Bluetooth as well?

    You got the 24vdc module, as you need to power from 24v from board. Mine does not have 24v but checked online and there is. 230v module option. The relay to the switch, on the other hand, is a command signal, so no mmattert the current of the board correct?

    This is a great video.. However, please can you let me know what wire it was you used to then plug in from the wifi motherboard to the main gates.. Mine has not come with any wiring :(

    Hi. Thanks for the video ! It clears a lot up. I was wondering if you knew if there was a mode to "hold" the gate in the open position?

    • @noseknows

      Hey - The hold gate open is set on the control board nothing to do with the WiFi module that’s in this video.

    Thank for the great video. Do I need to keep the module close to any WiFi signal like 5g or access point or should it be 2.4gh. Is the 2.4gh wifi needed for setting up only?

    Hi, great video and a job well done. One question though, how would the module handle error i.e. if the module fails is there anywhere to manually override it?

    • @noseknows
      @noseknows  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey thanks - Yes the gates still work with key fobs etc. for example I have this installed on my gates BUT myself and family still have the key fobs to open and close gates. The module is great as I can set times for gates to close at night etc as well as asking voice assistant.

    Buen video..... Ud. cree que podria solucionar mi problema ?? Me Gustaría saber si este tipo de Relé, me valdría para
    un ventilador de Pie (Torre), que he perdido el mando, y para prenderlo, tengo que apretar físicamente un Botón de On/Off. ??? He estado mirando el Sonoff re5v1c, me serviria ??? Gracias

    I ordered this and the Tuya smart app was what the device recommended and we got it functioning on our phones. The gate opens. But we can’t seem to get the gate to close except when we override it with our keypad or RF button opener.
    It is set to auto close after 2 minutes so it’s not an issue really but do you perhaps know how we could close it on demand?

    • @noseknows
      @noseknows  Před 2 lety

      Depends on if you control board is the same as mine in the video. If it’s the same the the drop switches select what modes do for example your auto close after 2 mins. I suggest grabbing the manual from somewhere and looking at you electric gate board manual as the module you have fitted simple sends a pulse to the two terminals connected so when you send the command it pulses if the gates are open it closes and then if they are closed it opens them be aware depending on how your gates are set as well with time as there is usually a overrun.

      @@noseknows we have the same brand and manufacturer but it’s a 12v system with slightly different labels in the control and accessory power so we worked with what we had. I’ll check it out further

    Do you have sensors to indicate if the gate open or closed?

  • @mikeyjdux

    Does this know when the gates are open/closed?

    • @noseknows
      @noseknows  Před rokem +1

      Nope - it purely sends a pulse to the gate control board which is the same as pushing a button on your electric gate remote
