      yeahhh,he helped his worker into a brand new vehicle that lost how much value the second he drove it off the lot??
      sorry,but dropping 40k on a 2wd ford pickup doesnt strike me as a deal in any way.
      if he had really cared about his worker,
      he would have steered him into a used truck,in vgc at Far less of a price.
      keep in mind richards way of life is dealing in used vehicles,
      and he knows the value drops of new versus used.
      just my opinion.

    • @pnotuner1
      @pnotuner1 Před 3 lety +4

      Yep. Find the used vehicle that you want with the mileage you want.
      Find 3 or 4 different units at different dealers and play them against each other for the best deal. But end up with the one that you really like.

    If you were a kid back in the 70’s like me and Richard you will understand why he’s all excited! We had a lot of trucker movies like BJ and the Bear, Smokey and the Bandit, Convoy, Duel, Moving on and many more. I remember making them honk their horns while sitting in the back seat going down the highway. There was a lot of international rigs on the road around at that time. And everyone had a CB it was like our cell phones lol! Back in the day truck drivers looked like truck drivers, now they look like they’re going to the gym. Growing up in the 70’s and 80’s were the best decades!
    Enjoy your new toy Richard!

My dad and uncles all worked together for (roadrunner moving) sometimes after a good 30 minute rain storm the bayous would overflow and the city was under water. My father was a truck driver and had a cabover until the early 90's when he found out he was a diabetic. Then he became a Videographer and owned a video production company specializing in live uplinks and doing a lot of camera work for HBO sports, Oprah, Montel, Maury and also doing Industrial videos and local commercials and accidents and things like that for local news. He's met a lot of really good people and when he passed in 99 there was about 2000 people at his funeral.

    That truck brings back memories. The first ride in a big rig, was when i was 9 years old, it was when my dad took me with him to the grain elevator in Kansas City MO, in the Transtar he was driving for the soy bean farmer he was working for at the time. Though that was in 1973, the Transtar had changed very little.
