If you spent $250 on the cards, don't you need to include the grading fees to see what your actual profit margin is?
For sure. It was a special $15 a card for 5 cards. 45 bucks? So maybe 120% est profit. But the point of the video is that it worked out.

Watching your PSA grading returns back 10 years ago is what got me back into cards. I miss the Pokemon days
Die cuts seem to be the hardest to get 10s on. The front is rarely the issue. It is the back that almost always come with chipped edges. The paint is always coming off the edges on die cuts, regardless if they are pack fresh or not. Sometimes you get lucky and PSA treats them as normal wear-and-tear. But usually, they do not.

The reason Topps does the blue and the blue lava is so that they can print more product. More parallels = more product.

Dude, seeing that LeBron Orange Ice going from SGC 8.5 to a PSA 10, takes my faith away from grading cards. No disrespect to the card. It's a beautiful card, but obviously off centered in both directions. It should have never gotten a 10. With that said, I'm really happy for you that it did grade that way. Makes up for the 7's that should have been 8's or 9's 😂😂. Btw, love you content Lootbox!
What did the Arenas get for a grade?
Yes horror stories are true about grading companies damaging your cards right before the whole covid thing I sent in some cards it took a year for them to come back but I noticed one of my Lebron James numbered card had a huge scratch on it grades was bgs 8.5 I remember when I sent in those cards it did not have a scratch on it and at that time I didn't take pics of the cards I sent in because before the covid stuff the turn around for bgs was 2-3 months now if I send any big cards to grade I surely take pics now
Psa put a huge dent in my jabari smith jr rookie auto card was super clean so had to happen during grading process

That lebron should have been a 9 from psa or an 8 , only reason psa gave it a 10 was because they wanted it in their registry as a 10 gold and to market it on social media. PSA is such a shady sham of a company, its insane. Not only do they have people grading cards while asleep that are total degenerates and or off the streets grading our cards.... they do this with heavy hitter cards giving 10s for media hype when they arent even 10s. Notice how all the big cards get 10s and the mediocre cards dont. They give 10s to cards they can post about to , at least thats how most the graders grade things. I know so many people that have submitted flawless cards garuntee 10s of none top tier guys and they get 8s, then they submit a gold # of 10 that looks like total dog crap of a top tier guy and it gets a 10. Its unbelievable that PSA holds such a high regard within the hobby when it comes to prices. That SGC 8.5 is the real grade, the 10 from PSA is a lie and though it benefits you in this particular case, it does not benefit the hobby as a whole. Iv seen so many 10 slabs from big name players that look horrible, and if cracked and resubmitted elseware itd get a much lower grade.
Would be better if you didn't know the grades so we can see your real reaction to them in my opinion

PSA only grade a 10 when the card is not in high value, if the card is in /10, they usually give a 9 for it. Really unfair
