I'm not a bill searcher or bill collector but I was just counting my dollars and found some serial number errors with the last digit raised higher than the others. Found this video as the first stop in my research. Thank you. what is the technical name of the error when the serial number digit is raised higher than the rest?
Two weeks ago I went to the atm took out $200. They were all like new, just printed. In them I found a 2017 $20 star note. It's NJ00211142 * Gem condition. Great find.

I found two $1 dollar banknote with star note added to my collection, Good old fashioned star notes.
I happen to save $1 bills and I sat with them watching you and I have the 2017 odometer serial numbers very pronounced and some pretty cool serial numbers, thanks to you I saw them! In the past I would not have given them a second look!! So now what do I do with them?
I just got 20 odometer errors from the bank in $1 bills. All in sequential order.

hello i found a 1 dollar bill with a misprint on the face on the right hand top corner, the second to last number 8 is not aligned it is raised higher than the rest

Just Spent A Dollar On a Coke Right Now! The Last Digit Was a 6 Really High Up Above, Bill Was 2009 Series, I've Noticed Some Bills Had 2 Pair's Next To Each Other Are They Not That Collectable ? But I Do Keep Triples & Pair's Together! And Especially The Star Notes! I Have a Few Star Notes That Are New Uncirculated And Numbers Are Sequential They Were From a Brick Of Cash Had The Currency Amount Band Around It The Lady I Got The Change From, And Over Time Got More From Her! My name is Wanda and I found a dollar one of the numbers in the serial number is bigger taller than the either numbers.
I dont know the official name for that but I refer to them as either "over inked" or "enlarged" digit serial numbers. I do not think they are all worth much over face value, maybe graded, but I do see them sell online in currency groups and ebay sometimes

Are odometer notes worth anything if it's on the bottom left and very very obvious?
I got a bunch of 2017 bills that have what looks to be like angled serial numbers on them and ink pleads all through the notes and I got like 14 sequential ones in a row that all have like the same error idk if they are worth anything pretty new to collecting

I found one of these about a week n a half ago a $1 2017. I’m new to all of this and very overwhelmed. I started looking through my pennies (started saving pennies for the copper) I had really forgotten about them. Long story short I didn’t get far there till I got every change jar going too. I didn’t get far again and now all currency I’m searching. Yet I’m never really 100 0/0 I’ve got something.

Wanted to send you a photo of a $1 FRN with what appears to be film/debris partially over the face of Washington series 2013..looks/feels on the surface the paper but doesn't really show on the back of the note...how can I send it? Might be wet ink transfer of some kind...
