    I thought you'd like a look at this super clean 1968 Ford F100 Ranger Pickup. This truck was just restored about 200 miles ago and it practically looks showroom new. It's powered by a 360 V8, backed by a 3 spd manual trans. The paint is slick, the interior is all new, and it's really clean under the hood. This truck is ready to go. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for watching!

    My Dad had a 69 Ford Ranger that I drove around for a summer. I loved that truck. It's still my favorite.
    It was Red and White 360 automatic. I wish that I still had it.

    I agree, that wood bed floor is a little different than what you typically see. I like that they used some wood with some character to it, instead of something more uniform. Thanks for checking it out!

    The 67 to 72 Ford pickup is the best looking of all pickups made in those 5 years and had the greatest selection of engines from the I6 to the 289 V8 in 67 and then the 302 V8 and 360V8 and even larger FE engines were used, plus that BEAUTIFUL twin I Beam front end!! A person had to be stupid to buy a chevy pickup between 67 and 72 when they could have had the Ford instead

    It definitely could be used as a daily driver. I mean, it's a good running and perfectly usable vehicle. Around here, our winters haven't been that bad in recent years. There is a short time each year, where I'd prefer to keep it put away, but that's about it.

    I believe the F100 was always considered a half ton as well. The F150 was a heavier duty half ton.

  • @RamblinAround

    The F150 was created in 1975 as a way for Ford to get around some new emissions laws.

  • @RamblinAround
    @RamblinAround  Před 10 lety

    Yes, it is a 3 spd manual. I often wonder the same thing. Seems like a lot of time, money, and effort to go through, just to sell it. Maybe some people just like the process of restoring vehicles. Then they sell them to move on to the next one.

  • @corbettsigns

    LMC Truck parts are all made in China, cheap re pops. If you want good quality reproduction parts for F series trucks, "Dennis Carpenter Reproductions". Costs are higher, but made from original Ford tooling. I'm from Canada, did my research before restoring my 68' Ranger. Well worth the difference. Fitment and quality of the highest.

    The 360 was not a performance engine, it was never intended to be low compression with a long stroke. It was a working engine, and a good one, I remember many of them back in the seventies had 150,000 miles on them which was unheard of back then. Ford got out of racing in the early seventies , most of their engines had potential there just was not any performance parts available for them or they were hard to find, but the 360 was never meant to be fast but a good engine it was.

    The 1968 Ford pickup was a Beautiful, perfect truck. Today they have ruined the pick-up truck with it's aggressiveness and bully-appearance and stupid mag-wheels (I used to like mag wheels then I grew up). People substitute them for a car instead of what their purpose is: The farm, work, and off road. Worse when they put on annoying loud mufflers and bright, blinding lights. These new trucks and autos are for narcissists! Even women drive them because they don't want to be ladies.
