    Video Description
    ~~~~~
    I've been looking for the best way to play the original Fallout game on Android and I believe I have figured it out.
    I had first tried playing this with the Winlator emulator, but that only resulted in the game crashing right after it tries to load it from the launcher.
    So after doing some research, I discovered this app in the Google Play Store called fo2.exe.
    And while that may seem like this will only work for the second Fallout game. . .it's actually an incredibly easy way to play both Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 on any supported Android smartphone or tablet.
    The first thing that I need to mention here is that you must already own a copy of the first Fallout game on the PC
    This can be a copy that you install yourself, like I did with the copy I own on GOG.
    Or it could be one that gets installed from a launcher, for those who own a copy of Fallout 1 on Steam.
    Either way, you need the game to be installed on your PC first. . .so that you can then transfer that install folder to your Android device.
    With the game's install folder ready on your device, we can begin setting up Fallout 1 on Android.
    So you will need to install this fo2.exe application from the Google Play Store.
    This is a free application that basically enables you to play the game on Android. . .as long as you already own a copy of the game.
    This app does not come with the game itself. So remember, you need to have a installed copy ahead of time.
    After it has been installed, let's go ahead and open it up.
    And here, you'll see there are individual cards for each Fallout game this application supports.
    The app supports Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Fallout: Sonora, and Fallout: Nevada.
    When you're ready, we're going to tap on the Install button for the Fallout 1 game.
    We're going to tap on the Agree button on this card.
    And then we're going to select which method of installing the game that we want to go with.
    I just moved over the full install folder to my device. . .since I didn't feel the need to zip it up into an archive.
    So let's select that install method. . .and then tap the Browse button.
    That's going to give us a file explorer application that we can use to tell the fo2.exe application where our game folder is located.
    and then let the fo2.exe application configure everything for us.
    Once the game has been installed and setup, we can begin playing it.
    Now, I won't go into too much detail here, as this video is solely for getting Fallout 1 running on an Android smartphone or tablet.
    But the game is running quite smoothly here on my Redmi K70 Pro. . .which is to be expected with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
    I have not been able to test it with a low-end budget device, though.
    So if you're having performance issues with Fallout 1 on your Android smartphone, then let me know about it down in the comments section below.
    So while researching ways to play Fallout 1 on Android, I came across this fo2.exe application.
    And app that I had initially ignored since I had assumed it was only compatible with the second Fallout game.
    This application also comes with some useful features that you don't get with other emulators out of the box.
    The app page lists the ability to drag and drop items from your inventory.
    Using a long-press gesture to open up the context menu.
    And the ability to press buttons with single taps. . .instead of requiring you to move the mouse cursor around.
    All quality of life improvements that make playing Fallout 1 on Android much more enjoyable.
    I do hope that we see an official release of the game in the Google Play Store. . .but for now, I highly recommend checking out the fo2.exe application as it's been a joy to play with this setup.
    And before I forget, please remember to like this video and subscribe to the channel for more Android gaming content like this.
    Question of the Day: Have you ever played through the entire Fallout 1 game?
      The first fallout game I ever played was Fallout 3, so getting into this isometric style is a bit difficult. But I've been trying to complete this game multiple times before
      @@XtreeM_FaiL how many hours have you gotten into each of them?
      I've had one fallout 1 attempt that took me a couple of hours just to get through the starting cave area. whereas in another attempt I was able to get through a couple of cities before getting stuck/lost
      @@ExplainingAndroid HOw many hours?
      -A lot.
      It's an old game, so it won't hold your hand.
      Character creation matter.
      Carrying a desktop computer around is not for everybody.
      I like being able to put in 5-10 minutes here and there no matter where I am (the couch, the bathroom, etc)
      I can't play it if I'm not at home, right? Well, that isn't true with this app. It was honestly impressive. The only thing I gripe about is naming the saves - I imported saves from PC playthroughs and I can't delete the names without I guess fiddling with the files.
      Why can't someone just upload their folder for other people to play the game
      I have watched someone play the game but haven't been able to play myself because I don't have a pc and because of that I can't play it on my phone either
