Thank you very much for your time and sharing this ... I am thinking of buying one of those for our small business .. ok . so , I already requested the excel file from the company we get our merchandise from and I have it saved on a hard drive containing all the items we carry .. now .. do I have to have the clover system connected to the internet in order for it to operate? also... I just need it to ring up things so I can use a scanner and I will have a separate keypad for the credit and debit cards .. I will not use the clover for credit cards transaction .. only to ring up stuff and cash them out ... is that how it works?? thanks again.

You wouldn't need the Clover System connected to the internet. You would simply need to have access to the Clover Dashboard. Clover offers plans where you don't need to have a physical Clover Device. For example, you can use your phone to accept payments and then use the Clover Dashboard to see reporting, or download the Clover App.

Exactly, this is so bad!! Clover needs to revamp these process. It’s very antiquated.
