      @@theeternalsbeliever1779 yes it was, it was literally a type. The blood that was put on the doors of the Jews in Egypt was of an innocent lamb, sacrificed to save the lives of those who’s door were covered by that lambs blood. Jesus is the antitype, the true sacrifice who’s blood was shed for all who would believe in His name and accept His gift of salvation. Christ is our Passover, and we commemorate His sacrifice for us on communion which comes out of the Passover since Jesus used the Passover Seder to illustrate its meaning the breaking of bread symbolizes the pain He would endure for us, and the wine was symbolized for the new covenant and the blood He would shed for all. I don’t know who this Catholic praised Polycarp is, but if he was walking with the other apostles and still keeping the actual feast days then he wasn’t following the true apostles.

    • @williammcleroy558
      @williammcleroy558 Před rokem +8

      The lunar sabbath will always fall on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of a given lunar month. This means that some weeks near the end of the lunar month can be more than 7 days before the next sabbath. God said to work 6 days and the 7th was sabbath of The Lord. He said nothing about any extended weeks due to a lunar cycle in His commandment to keep the sabbath.

      Kit, as Adventists we do believe in a rapture (to be caught up) at the second coming of Christ at the end of time as we know it. We, however, do not believe the Bible reveals the rapture will be secret, nor do we believe there will be second chances at salvation after the rapture. When Christ returns it will be visible to all (Rev 1:7), loud (1 Thess 4:16), and an all out spectacle (Mathew 25:31). Hope this helps.

    • @davidstarr6604
      @davidstarr6604 Před rokem

      I think you need to define what you mean by "rapture". To the people in many Christian churches it means different things. The word "rapture" is not actually in the bible. As far as SDA beliefs go: We believe at Jesus' 2nd coming all His people (those both alive at the time and the resurrected saints) will be taken off this earth to heaven (many call this a "rapture"). Jesus promised we would be with Him in heaven (in His Father's house). John 14:1-3
      This would be at the start of Rev. 20s 1,000 years. 1,000 years later we come back to earth in the New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:1-7 - "prepared as a bride" IMO means filled with God's people) with Jesus. The wicked dead are resurrected (again Rev. 20) and God will then sit in the final judgement before they, Satan and his angels (Eze. 28:14-19) and the entire earth is destroyed by a rain of fire (see also Mal. 4:1-3). This final judgement takes place in the valley of Jehoshaphat (Joel 3:11-17). The 6th plague shows evil spirits leading the wicked to Armageddon (Megiddo which is in the valley of Jehoshaphat - Armageddon is NOT an event, it's a place) Rev. 15:12-16

      100% yes. Deut. 12 says that using the customs of heathens to honor God is an abomination. Jer. 10 also says Christmas is a "worthless doctrine", and it's not difficult to see why: the unholy festivals of traditional Christianity do absolutely nothing to point ppl to the true gospel, the Father, or His salvation plan, nor is anyone ever been blessed by observing them. There are many versions of the Bible but if you would look at a catholic Bible and compare it to your Bible, whatever translation you use, I believe you'll find the same words in Exodus & Dueteronomy. How those commandments or verses are numbered may be different but all the words are there. Regardless the false testimony of some, idolitry or sabbath were not removed from the Bible.
      How they are numbered isn't as important since Moses or God didn't do that originally and if you want to treat your wife like a possession, you can take that up with God.
      If all authority comes from the Bible all religions have some explaining when it comes to their doctrines including sda's.

      Total lies: 1) Christianity did not exist 400 years before Constantine was born. 2) Of course we worship God every day (including Sunday), but nowhere are there any records that Christians kept Sunday as any day different than the rest of the week. There is however abundant evidence in the New Testament that Saturday was kept as a special day of rest and worship. The book of Acts alone contains reference to at least 80 different seventh-day Sabbaths kept by the early Christians (including Gentiles).
      You said: "If all authority comes from the Bible all religions have some explaining when it comes to their doctrines including sda's." AND I agree with you there. I have studied the doctrines of many Christian churches and IMO the SDA church is closer to biblical true than any other...
      You said: "you still have the right to tell falsehoods about catholics from hearsay evidence." HA, I gave exactly what you asked for references from the Catholic Church itself on their historically based claim to have changed God's law. You discounted it all because you just don't want to believe it. It would require an elevated obedience on your part to follow God and His will. It's much easier to follow preachers that teach what you want to hear so you continue living a life of sin and disobedience and pretend to yourself you will still be saved...
      This is why I didn't waste my time looking up all the NT references to the early Christians keeping Saturday as the Sabbath.
      This is all I have to say to you. From now on I refuse to show you anything else I have learned in my 60 years of studies. We are told by Jesus Himself there are some places we should not cast our pearls of knowledge.

      @@davidstarr6604 if you have studied this for 60 years and don't know when the Christian church started our what day they gathered on all I can do is pray God will speak to your heart and show you the light. I'm praying for you and all those who are focused on the law of Moses and don't see the grace and truth Jesus brought to the world.

    24:00 to 26:00 As usual, pastor Doug gives his opinion, but no Bible verses to show that the Feasts of the Lord have been done away with. They are just lumped with the so-called "Ceremonial laws", and then thrown out, but where is the biblical basis for that?
    Jesus Christ kept the Passover. Is he our perfect example, or not?

    Man was not created but made. You and every church never pray or confess or ask for forgiveness for slaughtering His babies to cover our evil deed. Were not blamed, accused, punished or exumecuted though were the guilty ones. So God dies for us so we can be God again. If you read scripture through mans eyes you wont recognize His Truth because there is none in us. We could stop all the pain we cause if we own our stuff.

    This issue of climate change has become a political issue. I will remind that caller that at least half the scientists and population believe that climate change is not valid and is false science. I think every Christian believes that we should take care of this planet and be good stewards, but to follow this idea of global warming which has not been proven and has become such a hot and political and divisive is not something that our church should take a stand on. Stay out of it brethren. How can God be pleased when we bring up
    These topics and cause decisions among us, when this world is passing away very quickly now. Save people not the planet .

    Dear Doug. Were blind. Always were. Spend our time in His word which never would have been written if not for man. All of Gods creation is sealed. Why? Their creator lives inside of them. Man is separate and apart. Jesus would not have suffered and died if not for man. The only one that is guilty is man. The only one that sinned and then lied and blamed and murdered is man. Sabbath only exists for man. Creation knows who created them. They dont labor. They dont need to be teminded. The only ones that need commandments in stone. Gods word is alive. The only ones that needed saving is man. Jews missed it? He died, One third of His angels, one third of His stars cast our? I bet you dont do idol worship. Worshipping something that doesnt do anything and getting credit for it. The only ones that sinned against Gid is man. The only ones blamed, tortured and murdered were Gods precious ones. They can only love selflessly because the creator lives in His creation. We are not created. We were made. A cheap copy that looks like God but inside were like rotting meat. I dont keep living because soneone else died. After the 1st sin and before any innocence suffered, Adam & Eve could have told the truth, repent and He is quick to forgive. No death. Nope. Pointing, blaming, decieving, judging, convicting, punishing, torture, pain and death. All brought into His perfect eternal kingdom by man. Were still doing it. Its all about people, not all people, just the obes we like. If we dont then their our enemy? Maybe but their not Gods.
