In my latest vlog I attempt to hike up Rainbow Mountain Peru! If you're asking yourself what to do in Peru, I highly recommend hiking to Rainbow Mountain. There are other rainbow mountains in the world but not many offer the beauty and ease of access as the hike to Rainbow Mountain Peru.
If you're visiting Cusco Peru to hike Machu Picchu, you should stay another day and add Rainbow Mountain Peru to your list of things to do.
Rainbow Mountain, also called Vinicunca, is not an easy hike. The Rainbow Mountain trek is a challenge mostly because of the altitude. Hiking to Rainbow Mountain Peru can be done by someone in average physical condition but you should be prepared to move slow and drink lots of water.
Despite the arduous hike, Montaña de Colores as it's known in Cusco Perú is amazing. You won't regret your hike to Rainbow Mountain Peru once you get to the top! It was an amazing adventure and should be in every Peru travel guide.

The hikes tell that a person needs to make sure that they do some kind of cardio conditioning before traveling like this. I mean we really should be on top of it anyhow; yet.... i know i need to tackle my cardio while working on the other things so i can enjoy the travels whether on RY or otherwise. Hi Mrs. Richardson! You've raised a great granddaughter! It took us about 2 hours to get down! So about 5 hours total...round trip. It was much easier going down! Going up almost killed me!!!

I started out with just the regular program that comes with a macbook and then I upgraded to final cut pro. Honestly, I just watch a few youtube videos on editing and then kind of taught myself. It seems hard at first but once you get in there and start doing it...it's really not that hard.
