Fun fact: If you are stuck without mozzie repellent, grab some handfuls of Pennyroyal. It grows in most places in NZ. We used as kids, playing outside. It's a member of the mint family but has a fairly industrial smell to it. It works. Thanks for the vids, mate.

Get some of those 90L sistema containers I use them bro on my missions so even if it starts raining all your dry stuff is inside don't get wet while you wait it out before setting up tent. I carry two of them and put everything in them only two trips up the beach from boat. Plus stops things getting wet from splash back while cruising on the boat too

Wee cooking tip... try chopping red onions and squeezing your lemons on them before fillerting your fish. Then add the raw fish. 😊 You know what else to add if you have it

These vids are so helpful. I’ve just started spear fishing. Like just started. I’ve been out twice up in Mahurangi bay, north of Auckland. Just around the rocks at the moment up to about 4 meters. Its a fantastic activity to treat yourself with. So relaxing. I’ve actually just bought myself a brand new 5mm wettie. Should be here this week😁.

Never would have thought to eat Kahawai/Aussie Salmon raw. Most line fisherman in Aus think it’s a trash fish but I’ve bled, prepped and cooked it up nice. Gotta get rid of that dark bloodline!

when i go freediving my kids only want 1 thing, butterfish, they arent to keen on paua kina or crays which is ka pai in my books, means more 4 me and they enjoy it. kahawai and trevors my go 2 for raw fish, kai reka yum

The wife and I look forward to these 30 minutes each week. Quite often see you passing through mangas. Only thing that could make these better are if they were 45 minutes long. Q. How long is your breath hold Ollie? Ps. We crack up, every episode you forget something haha😂
Aweosme. Next episode (Part two) is about that length! Breath hold not very long. Have done static on land over 4 1/2 minutes but in water hunting generally 1-1 12 mins max, mostly aorund 1 minute is enough

Thanks! if you mean by collar, the neck/wings, yes i do. I think they are delicious. Simply baked in the oven with some herbs/spices

WIndy.com is the best now. ALways been the best for wind, very accurate, and now I think it has overtaken even swell map for swell predictions. It's my go to
