Hows the ultrasphere 4.5 compare with the neoair xlite. Do you think the 4.3 R value is accurate?
Thank you for your comment! Both the Ultrasphere 4.5 and the NeoAir XLite undergo the same independent industry-standard ASTM F3340-18 testing for R-value, ensuring comparable accuracy. So, you can trust the 4.3 R-value of the Ultrasphere 4.5 to be as reliable as the R-values provided by Thermarest for the NeoAir XLite.
How does the mat compare in noise with the thermarest neo air nxt
Incredible, there is no crinkle once inflated that we observed
@@tauntonleisure does it come in a regular wide or just regular?
It comes in regular or a Long Wide. Sadly no regular wide
How does the mat slid compare in so many noises with the thermarest neos airs nxt .
Real world comfoet temperature?
Rab mark it at zero which seems a bit optimistic for the fill.
I am looking at false bottom bags to sqve weight and the cumulus aerial 180 gives a comfort temp of 4 and a limit of zero. Personally, I dont want to be wearing my down jacket in early summer in a bag that is as expensive as this.
Hi! Thank you for your comment. You're absolutely right; bags with a false bottom typically don't undergo the same rigorous EN testing as other designs, making it challenging to pinpoint exact temperature ratings. Based on what I know, and considering individual differences in temperature perception, I'd estimate this bag, paired with a good R-value mat, to provide comfort in the range of 0°C to 5°C. However, I haven't had the opportunity to test it in real-world conditions yet. It's worth noting that if you're a side sleeper, a false bottom bag may not be the best fit, as there's a higher chance of exposing the base. Apologies for not being able to offer more precise information, but I hope this helps!
@@tauntonleisure That is a great help and yes, I'm a side sleeper so will probably look at a different solution. It looks like quilts and false bottom wouldn't really suit me.
Thanks for the reply
The Mythic attaches to the mat as shown in the video so may be still a consideration but its definitely something to keep in mind. if you move and expose the back panel you will get a draft on your back. I've heard of people lying their jackets down inside the bag behind them to cover the false back to provide more protection when needed but I cant say for sure how well this will work.
Why don’t you ever say how much money they are??
Thank you for your comment. We don't mention the price because they can be subject to change and by not we help future-proof the video and prevent any future confusion.
@@tauntonleisure thankyou for your reply mate
