Music Box Steps, (Laurel & Hardy 1932 film), Silver Lake, LA 2023

This simple set of municipal steps attracts thousands of Hollywood history buffs looking to experience one of the most iconic set pieces of the classic Hollywood era.
Famous silent-film comedy duo Laurel and Hardy created what was arguably their most iconic work with the 1932 talking film The Music Box. The slapstick short’s most memorable scene is a string of gags involving the duo attempting to move a massive piano up a long flight of stairs. They are not good at it. When they finally reached the top, the mailman arrived and told them they could have parked up the hill. This set of steps still exists in the Silver Lake section of Los Angeles, and to this day is commemorated by both a marble plaque explaining the location’s significance and a street sign marking the site. Locals and tourists alike can visit the public walkway.
The Music Box is a Laurel and Hardy short film comedy released in 1932. It was directed by James Parrott, produced by Hal Roach and distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
The steps, 133 with multiple landings, which are the focal point of The Music Box, still exist in the Silver Lake district of Los Angeles, near the Laurel and Hardy Park. The steps are a public staircase that connects Vendome Street (at the base of the hill) with Descanso Drive (at the top of the hill), and are located at 923-925 North Vendome Street near the intersection of Del Monte Drive. A plaque commemorating the film was set into one of the lower steps

I'm a kid but I like watching old movies and the music box movie was funny!and the mail man told them go on the stoop what ever that is but what ever, that was funny tho😂😄

A stoop, is essentially a porch. Usually raised concrete slabs at the time.
