I wouldn't like to see any new Daria episodes, times have changed and it wouldn't translate anymore. If anything she'd probably be considered cool at her school now. I love the show for the nostalgia, but I wouldn't it ruined by any new episodes, even if it followed her as an adult.

However, there is an aesthetic to them that seems less "real" than the approach a lot of 90s/and earlier cartoons took - which I personally miss. In some ways the cartoons of the 90s had a generally darker tone, or were less "filtered" in certain ways. It's hard to describe exactly as one could also argue the other way around. I guess it just comes down to that the 90s are nostalgic for me :P

I work as a caregiver for the elderly and whenever my client is asleep I sit on the couch and watch this. I never got a chance to watch it before then, and I love it. Daria is who I thought I was in highschool lol.
