    😀 A BIT ABOUT US:
We’re Marianne & Chris, a happily married couple from the UK. Marianne is a living kidney donor to her best friend, and realising that life was for living and never really knowing what’s round the corner - we decided to fulfil our dream of travelling full time.
So in March 2018 after the kids had left home, we sold our belongings, rented our house and moved into our campervan called Trudy. We set off to see the world and after vanlifing around Ireland and Europe, we grabbed our backpacks and spent 5 months exploring Central America.
Feeling like we needed a challenge, we planned the ultimate van life adventure! In Jan 2020 set off to drive around the World from UK to UK. But after arriving in Turkey, covid caught up with us and closed the borders, so we had a wonderful 18 months exploring this special country. Realising we were not going to be able to head further East, we decided to do a handbrake turn and go the other way and shipped our van to the USA.
We hope you enjoy coming with us, and we’ll continue to share our real adventures and hope you feel inspire to step out of your comfort zone and try something new.

You will have heard the devastating news about the tragic earthquake in Turkey & Syria. This video was filmed a couple of weeks before the earthquake stuck. We visited many of the affected areas and are truly heart broken to hear what has happened. We ask everyone to donate even a small amount to one of the many official charities. Our prayers are with the people affected. - sending much love from us xx

Hola 👋from New México🌶️🌵...yes we have lots of washboard roads here...also remember to let some air out of your tires if you get stuck however have a tire pump so can inflate again and if you're by some water wet the sand. Use to live in our van in the 80's. It was scary to see all those campers camping in the dry river bed because of flash floods even if its not raining there the snow melt in the mountains can cause a flash flood. This is for anyone who reads this and all the newbies to camping.😊🤗..we didn't have solar, cellphones ie...we had an ice chest and a gunny sack you can wet and hang in a tree to keep your food cool here in the dry heat..I sure enjoyed your vlog and wish it was longer. Angels all around you and Trudy.💖

The "bumps" are called "topes". (Toe-pez). They are why they say you shouldn't drive in Mexico at night. You can't see them till they gotcha'. You will find some great parkups. Yes, the soft sand is a killer. Thank God for those "trac thingys".
Lookit how awesome a place you are in. There is another youtube couple headed for Baja and everybody is telling them "NO, Never go to Mexico. It is way too dangerous." Are you kidding me? Sooo many people have gone down and go every year cause they love it so much. 😍

    Hello Ambassadors
Video reminds me some part of TURKIYE ,like MUGLA, FETHIYE, BODRUM ANTALYA region. When you were climbing up onto that rock you were walking amongst to he Black and beige colored boulders which are called " volcanic bombs" in GEOLOGY.
More than likely basaltic rocks ( Iron rich ) they were.
    Lovely video as expected!
    Thank you guys!
In the meantime, our hearts still aching due to the earthquake that hit our country.
May God bless and rest the people in peace whom we lost during the earthquake.🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🙏🙏Love you guys! ❤️❤️

I enjoy Baja Mexican foods which happily we can get here in NW Arizona in Mexican restaurants as same in many Southern California, USA, Mexican restaurants. I also enjoy the Jalisco area cuisine of the main part of Mexico. Glad you have tasted real Mexican foods. Different than most in the Eastern USA which are more Southern and Eastern Mexican regional dishes. Even in Florida, USA.

Delivered our vehicle to Southampton docks as arranged, to be told the boat had been delayed by a week, I had only spoken to Shipcars 3 days before and was assured all was on schedule. Better luck tomorrow and fingers crossed. Hope your plans for Japan are going ok.

Isn't it just great, when people suggest roads to you and they turn into nightmares and never know IF there will be a way out? Had a few hair raisers in remote Sweden in the wet and mud. I bough a set of "tyre snow socks" there, which also work in mud and sand. The Long Mynd round your home neck of the woods gave me a run for my money once. Met a Traction Engine coming down the narrow hill at me and at full pelt. Emergency reverse!! However, the reward is always nice to see. - I live on the Isle of Man (theoretically), where we have great beach parking at the Point of Ayre. Come and visit on your return. Japan sounds interesting and you can drive on the left again. Australia required my friends to scrub every orifice of their van with a toothbrush for a month fulltime work at home. Inc Engine, Bottom and Interior!!!!!

Great to keep seeing familiar places and you enjoying them. That drive to Los Barilles from the Los Cabos side has a great view just before you arrive where the long straight road seems to just drop off into the ocean. And Marian, YES!, there is a right way to eat tacos. First don't over-stuff them, have a good grip on them and keep them level and move your mouth to the taco instead of the taco to your mouth. Took me a couple of years to get that and I'm still not perfect eating them without spilling like the locals, but I'm getting better still ;-) And I hate to be that 'well, actually' guy, but the walls of the restaurant are made of palm fronds (the stalky part). Very nasty stuff with strong thorns.
I haven't been to Cabo Pulmo in a while, but the paved part of the road looks better. It used to be more potholes than pavement and the dirt road was actually better to drive than the paved road, but it is an EPIC drive with some amazing views.

I just thought of an idea - sometimes hotel or motel or inn owners will allow you to pay to park in their hotel parking lot and you assure them that you won't use their other facilities other than perhaps a restaurant. Dad did that in Mexico and in California when traveling at times if stuck without a camp-site. In the USA easier to try at a owner operated motel or hotel and not a chain place.

Perhaps having just one video per week is helping in giving you more time to film with a view to having a good story line for editing. We call them corrugated roads in Australia, not washboard.
