These simple, resilient people who defy logic and insist on living on an active volcanic island are admirable. The inhabitants of Stromboli have a humanity deeply rooted in nature that we lost a long time ago and that we are being forced to recover with climate change.

I'm from Taranto (South Italian marine city),
unfortunally not always near the sea by job motivation.
What the sea and the sea environment offers to our eyes is difficult to describe.
This doc has the gift to arrive closer to the art of this special inhabitants of Stromboli.
I wish myself to visit this place as soon as possible.

We visited Stromboli Island. At night we can see tiny sparks of fire from the mountain. Cool but same time is scary
