@Adam Hughes The Right is forcing title 42 to be left in place to undermine legal asylum. Title 42 removes all existing title 8 laws and penalties. This would include 8 US code 1325 and 1326, those are the two laws used to enforce penalties on those crossing the border. Without the in place when immigrant cross they are put into processing and deported, and then they cross again because there is no penalty increasing as a deterrent. It also mean that the numbers crossing are inflated due to immigrants crossing multiple times. As per usual in the Rights ignorance, they cause the very problem they want to stop.
