Weird we have been hearing what sounds like rumbling thunder but there's no storm anywhere around. We are in central Florida near Daytona beach.
The other week the news said there was an earthquake near your coast. I’m in Madeira Beach, plenty of black drum, no sound like that in our area. I think someone has a water proof speaker of sorts in the water. Maybe more than one. Just my thought. I don’t get the windows rattling part. You’d think if the sound were that load someone would have caught it on a security camera or something.

We are miles south of Ocala where there is a US gov bombing range. We also hear sonic booms when NASA and Space-X break the sound barrier. Then we hear a low hum coming from a FL Power Plant on the St. John's River that vibrates our well water pipes. Only fish noise here is the plop of our koi in a pond.

Black Drum are noisy to begin with. I lived close to a dock with plenty of them and it never bothered me. But they are not that noisy to hear them like that unless they all go off at one time.

Black Drum are good eats, can get upwards of 90 lbs but also get wormy the bigger they get, and need to be carefully cleaned. A worm or two here and there, if eaten aren't poisonous, so....

It's funny I lived in shore acres for 13 years and I used to catch black drums regularly off of the dock and never once did I hear that sound. Crazy but that's right there on the ocean could see the ocean from every direction you would look and I caught them casting out maybe one two times anytime I I would drop the pole in under the doc or off of the canals you can't be any closer to them than that to end we never had any vibrations we were in flood zones every single high tide my God I never heard a sound like that and this goes back to 1996 I've been in Northeast St Petersburg with Tampa directly in view and sound. The black drum they just started getting very frisky with their mating because this is all as of now never heard the noise any other time since 2022
