lube the air tools generously. Now. There is an air tool oil. It goes in the air input. Its recommended to lube the air tools before each use. Great deal on that pallet. That craftsman air ratchet is 70$ new. It will last a lifetime if you take care of it. Mines 45 years old and i just used it today.
I wouldn't mess with the outboard too much until you get that bottom end in the water so the water pump impeller is lubricated with water. If you don't you'll ruin it. As far as the rest of it goes it wants to run. Pretty much the only thing that goes wrong ith them is the water pump impeller goes bad, the coils go bad, the carbs gum up and they set up from rust. Don't run gas with ethanol in that motor unless you put the ethanol kit in the carb. It looks like a less than 10 hp mid sixties motor. The pull start mechanism on those were a pain and if I recall are pretty hard to come by. As for the air tools there's only a few moving parts in them. There's vanes that come out of the rotor some bearings and the mechanism on the working end of it. If you don't get some oil in them soon you'll ruin them. Marvel Mystery oil works as well as air tool oil. I'd flood them to get all of the water out and then 2 drops a day is all they need. Ya done good for $45.
45$ bucks plus the 100$ premium. Got a killer deal on a paint sprayer last week but didn't realize the 100 dollar minimum. I am usually buying military generators with a 15% premium. Looks like you did pretty good on this one
🎉 after going to auctions and every other kind of sale the last 20 years my grandkids and kids are going to need at least six months just to go through my stuff after im gone, and im still buying ju stuff
Spray some oil in the air hookup on those air tools, they pickup a good bunch of power just from that alone. Plus airtools should have a bit of oil dropped into them occasionally. You say are breaking a bolt loose and its trying but struggling, put a few drops of oil in the tool and bang, bobs the uncle. For some reason, all boat motors sell for good money when they run... I believe this one will come to life again. Even so, parts for older motors are now reaching some crazy high dollars. That big grinder hand held here in alaska, is around three to five hundred dollars depending on brands.. the cheapest you find are garage sales as you go to a pawn shop thinking its a great place for a deal and then know they should of included vaseline with the sale.
You made out like a bandit on that pallet. Just the motor on snow blower was worth more than pallet. Plus air tools that need some tlc and me unless I had a small boat. I just sell the boat motor for what ever
That old 9.5, possibly a 9.9 hp Johnson or Evinrude we’re good motors. Very reliable. Most were 9.5 but supposedly some were actually 9.9hp just before they changed the entire design to the more square/rectangular engine housing.
Yep, was about to say the same. Had a number of Briggs that refused to start and had managed to shear their keys and so, despite the apparent strong spark had waaaaay out timing!
@@TheSynthnuthad a Villiers with reversing dynostart that used to do that, most annoying, never went anywhere without spares, problem was a big heavy flywheel rotor and a worn or damaged taper, so it would never be good., but it was transport most of the time😊.
That snow blower carb needs the jet pulled out and the Jet needle pulled out and the little holes cleared. Then it will stop surging. It is an easy fix. Well if it is not too far gone like one I did a while back for a guy in the military. It was so bad I had to replace the carb.
There is nothing at Richie Bros less than 100 dollars. If you win a bid for $20.00 dollars they add on 100.00 for each lot you win minimum plus another buyers fee. I won a 20 pallett that cost me 100.00 plus 8.00 plus the 20.00 dollar bid. so 20.00 turned into 128.00 dollars. Then you will need to schedule a time to pick it up.
dont be turning that out board over without grounding spark plugs or the wire if you turn them over without grounding you can ruin the coils this motor could be anywhere between 3 hp up to 9.9 im thinking its closer to a 9 hp i have two of these one is now running haven't finished the other one yet also used puller to pull flywheel if necessary clean and set points for 20 thousands clean carb low speed and high speed jets could the air screw mixture count turns till bottoms out lightly and remember this when you put them back you will come back out to close the turns in you did in reverse
tools and their proper care are not your strong suit, little Air tool oil before you forced all that water thru might of helped, if let them sit to long after not doing trying see if they work Thel be just locked up rusty tools, little preventive action on your 45 score, could go a long way for tools if you hand any intensions on using or resaleng.
Just the benchgrinder was worth more than 45$.. amazing deal if you dont have thumb in your ass. Blower alone would be 100$ even if it didnt run. Also please make starter free turn tool from ratchet or one way bearing. If you dont do start with the drill just right you risk on getting slammed into face with it or breaking your wrist. One way bearing will ensure engine can out run the drill when it starts.
You could probably get away with using half the torque you put on those plugs. 15-20 ftlbs is more than plenty. But hey, at least you know they're not going anywhere. Lol
Try lubricating from the inlet to flush out the water on the air tools before they rust up.
Thanks for the tip. I will definitely try that.
😢❤❤
Any of the stuff for sale.. and where are u ???

Nice, that dovetail joiner is 3 times the price you payed. 👍

NICE Pallet.
Yep, just put a few drops of air tool oil down in the air inlet and run, they’ll be fine.
A challenge that wins with a fine vintage motor. Onward!
45$ bucks plus the 100$ premium. Got a killer deal on a paint sprayer last week but didn't realize the 100 dollar minimum. I am usually buying military generators with a 15% premium. Looks like you did pretty good on this one
yep gotta be careful with the premiums
Cool, great deal !
🎉 after going to auctions and every other kind of sale the last 20 years my grandkids and kids are going to need at least six months just to go through my stuff after im gone, and im still buying ju stuff
The snowblower engine looks like a Tecumseh Snow King engine. That engine alone is worth more than what you paid for the pallet by at least 5 times.
Great deal!

At least at the pawn shop, you don't have to go to the doctor for a checkup anymore.
You made out like a bandit on that pallet. Just the motor on snow blower was worth more than pallet. Plus air tools that need some tlc and me unless I had a small boat. I just sell the boat motor for what ever
Ya your right. I’ll probably just sell the motor as is.
Fix the motor up and buy a boat for it😊.
You did good on that pallet, loved the snow blower.
Watching your video in Scotland a great bargain for 45$ keep up the good work
Thanks appreciate it

Cool thanks for the info. I looked into and i think this one was a 9.5hp
I had a 9.9 Johnson like that.
This is my kind of tools 🔧 old like me 😂😂😂😂
Hit the air Tools with lube now to stop the internal rust.
you got at least ten times your moneys worth! Good job!
Yes! Thank you!
Wd 40 soak the air tools maybe salvageable
The Dove Tail jointer needs the Carb cleaned as well.
18:36 probably the switch
Snowblower may meet some shoes relatively inexpensive also scraping edge also replaceable
That new dovetail joiner jig is about $150 + new like that.
Ya I gave it to my brother who is into wood working he was pretty happy lol.
Air tool oil up the air fitting...they'll be good as new. Sell the boat motor. It'll need an impellor, propeller, and carb rebuild.
Great idea
Lube the airtools internally with PB Blaster
Definitely will try that.
Thanks
check the shear key as it started and loosened the flywheel nut
Thanks I’ll check it out.

The sound of the one right at 20:00 was so iconic I'd almost pay for a gun that made that glorious sound whether it actually worked or not.
definitely sounded healthy
I was waiting for the boat motor to catch just enough to spin the drill off and smack you in the chops.
SCORE!
Just subscribed!
Awesome thanks
Didn’t know Richie brothers sold this kind of stuff
Yes sir my local Ritchie Bros has all kind of random stuff
@@CrabTree1sounds wonderful 😊.

not bad at all for 45 bucks
Yep I thought it was a deal.
redneck scratch ticket right there.
Wd 40 in a bucket
You got your moneys worth on that bench grinder alone.
yes sir

il and run the air tools
Your comments are great
lol thanks

Ps motor is a 9.5hp
Get that outboard motor running and sell it
Still debating what I should do. If I get enough comments I’ll get it running.
@@CrabTree1definitely running, if for no other reason than it's worth more like that, but you know you want to hear it😊.
you need a pressurized gas tank with a squeeze bulb.
Ya that was the next step

My question is what kinda motorcycle is setting there gathering dust and dirt. I hope it's not a Harley Davidson.
lol no it’s a Honda shadow 1100
@@CrabTree1saw that as well. You got some other interesting stuff there as well.
sander
wonder if that motor gonna work hahaha .. I just picked up a 4' fan needs a motor :)
I have a feeling it will just need a carb clean and it will fire right up.
There goes the water pump. No water pump brakes
Iam sure the pump was no good from the get go and needs to be replaced
Boat motor turns over there hope for it possibly needs magneto cleaned up
ya ill probably clean the carb and try again
SPRAY OIL IN AIR CONNECTOR FITTING
yep added a couple drops for oil to each
😮 those poor air tools. Oil is your friend
Had to get the water out somehow oil was then used afterwards
PUT THE AIR HORN ON THE THUNDERBIRD. LOL
lol that would be awesome
You could probably get away with using half the torque you put on those plugs. 15-20 ftlbs is more than plenty. But hey, at least you know they're not going anywhere. Lol
It’s a high HP motor gotta make sure they don’t fly out lol.
Not much that you're going to throw away then. Some of it isnt worth storing or fixing.
Storage is free and it was worth the money just for the excitement of seeing what was inside lol
Oil
Buy a "no-spill" brand gas can, it will change your life I promise you.
lol ya definitely will check those out thanks
Junk.
You can also buy spouts for existing cans that don't have the stupid contortionist valve crap on them
