When persistence pays off in fishing

  • Best sea trout fishing is normally when you cover as much water as possible. I wanted to challenge that. What happens instead of moving all the time, stand still and cast at the same place over and over and over again. In this video, I fish with Jerome and Mats. They were far out of view though since I was the one stupid enough not to move. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on how to find the fish when coastal fishing. Here this stone felt like a perfect concentration point that the fish might come back to, do you look for a good spot and hammer there, go to your favorite spot each time or do you cover a lot of water?
As I mention in the video this was filmed several months ago. Why this video was filmed in March but not published until now is due to a memory card was corrupted but I managed to recover it.

Lucky to net two! My experience with doubles is that you get both less than 50% of the time! Congrats!

Another way to try and free a stuck hook is to move to the right and left to change the angle of roll cast! Also pull the line with good pressure around your finger and then let the line slip off your finger making it shoot forward! Freed a lot of stuck hooks in my 50+ years of fishing!

That's what fishing's about, patience is a virtue. Perseverance is the key to success.

Congrats on the double. Move or not is always the question at hand and I'm sure many would have moved without reading the water as you did, myself included. Great instruction on your plan of attack on why you stayed and how you were going to fish it.

This is a great subject Robert! Especially in the spring I mainly fish only one spot the whole day and it has really paid off. Usually the best period is very short in the early spring (the warmest moment of the day), so you better choose your fishing spot wisely and give it the pressure :)

Epic Double trouble action 💥🏆. Do you think he Stifu rod is powerful enough for Salmon fishing /Grills lakes with a couple of 10kgs as season top catch? . ( Talking about The 9,6#7 and 10#7) 😄
Keep up The Good work 👊
