I run a 661 with 28in bar some times a 32 in if needed and it's a beast next purchase will be the 881... wife not be happy with it but hey we heat with wood and I drop trees for heat full time electrician and run a saw 5 days a week year round... thanks for sharing ya'll stay safe frosty and free
I like the way you Break in a new you saw short bar and starting of with smaller cuts of wood I think that is the best way. I also like using a mix oil ratio of 33:1 to 40:1 when running in a big saw. The 881 is a big improvement over the ms 880 I’m very happy that I purchased 881 great saw. I will have to say that is a bit dangerous of you using your left leg holding small log down making a cut with such a big saw very close to your foot very scary 😧

Stihl 090 still the Boss, those days when Trees covers our forest, great trees. Too bad we destroyed them all with German machines for the west. This particular Stihl suppose to log down mighty trees, not meant for this kind of cutting branches. Thanks for the video, I love stihl and husqvarna they are great machines.
Mi-a sosit si mie tractorul asta ieri :)) Prima impresie a fost ca e mult mai usor decat ma asteptam, si a doua chestie e starterul: cu decompresia pusa tragi la fel de greu ca 500i FARA decompresorul apasat :)). Abia astept sa ii fac un mic rodaj si sa o pun pe un alaskan mill sa vad ce poate. Am scos limitatorul de pe H si l-am dat juma de rotatie mai deschis, merge mult mai bine. Din fabrica vine cam lean. Nu stiu daca o sa am nevoie de muffler mod, n-as vrea mai mult sunet, mai ales daca sta pe gater. Spor!
Da, vine putin lean, se observa imediat cum o bagi in lemn mic, de rodaj... Si 880 ul e la fel, se trage greu de sfoara si cu decompul apasat, ceea ce nu mi place defel. Cu extra port pe toba, fara sa te atingi de cel existent, vei avea foarte putin zgomot in plus. 3120xp ul il pornesti foarte usor si fara decomp... Sa te bucuri de ea! 🤝🤝🤝

What a beautiful machine! I would love to have one, but sadly don't have any use for it. Also I do believe my arms would kill me after an hour handling this saw. It's far from being a lightweight.
@@poparamiro I ordered myself an Echo CS-281WES earlier today. (27 cc, 1100 Watts, 3.1 kg / 6.83 lb dry weight). It's probably almost the complete opposite of the MS 881. 😄 At least my arms won't stretch down to my feet after using it. I would love to have a monster chainsaw instead, but with the piss poor small trees in my area there's no need for it.

That saw should cut true all kind of wood with that bar the longer bar the more power you loose i use a 16 inch bar on my ms 261 cm and its a beast but most Americans put 20 or 24 inch much harder on the saw engine to me that bar is a great fit for that saw but of course its no problem to put a longer bar on such a big saw i just ordered a ms 362 ms and it comes with a 16 inch bar i will put on a 20 inch on it and se how it handles
