Dysphagia is caused by the disorders of the food #pipe or the #esophagus.
Causes of dysphagia
Corrosive stricture,
Peptic stricture
Food pipe or esophagus #cancer
Achalasia cardia
Diagnosis: Following test are helpful in evaluation of dysphagia
Upper GI endoscopy: Upper GI endoscopy can diagnose esophageal tumor, stricture, or cancer.
Barium swallow- Dilated barium fluid is swallowed. It looks for obstruction, stricture, tumor or achalasia in oesophagus.
High resolution oesophageal manometry - A small tube is passed from the nose. Tube has sensors which check the pressure of the esophagus.
Treatment depends upon the cause of the dysphagia
peptic and corrosive strictures are treated by endoscopic dilatation
Cancer is treated by surgery or chemotherapy
Achalasia cardia is treated by POEM, balloon dilatation or surgery

I vomit blood and got severe chest burn last night. I think it damaged my food pipe while vomiting due to stomach acid. Even while swallowing mouth water I was severely getting chest burn and throat pain .My board exams are still going on and I managed my time to go hospital . I am so disappointed that they just prescribed me some medication like gastric and infection. Now I am only getting problem while swallowing food. I feel food is stuck inside my lower throat (chest area) and having little pain while swallowing
Sir, meri wife ko semi liquid food jaise oats ya liquidy dal-chawal, khane me gale me atakta hua lagta hai.
Jabki normal solid food ya water peene me koi problem nahin hoti hai.
Daal ya semi liquidy food khane me hi atka hua sa lagta hai......

My father has been facing swallowing problem after getting a brain stroke. Should we meet ENT specialist like you for treatment of GERD meanwhile medications for brainstroke.
I don't understand hindi properly, but i understand the headlines. Sir I am suffering from mild antral gastritis since last 3 years. Endoscopy has been done 4 times n it is showing the same result (i.e- mild antral gastritis).
