His thirst for education led him to English classes and eventually to the University of California, Berkeley, where he graduated with the highest honors.
The workshop will unfold his fascinating pathway from a farmworker to a leading neurosurgeon, an internationally acclaimed scientist, and a beacon of hope for countless people. He went on to earn his medical degree from Harvard and distinguished himself at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
