Let’s take a look at this simple zongzi recipe that uses dried prawns and mushrooms to give it an especially aromatic flavor. You can also use pork or a meat of your choice instead of sausage. This simple recipe uses a slightly different method to make zongzi that’s easier and practically no-fail!
Ingredients
- 8 bamboo leaves
- 200g glutinous rice
- 200g-220g hot water
- 10g soy sauce
- Some white pepper powder
- Some hosin sauce
- 8g sesame oil
- Some dried prawns
- 5g fried shallots
Filling
- 1 sausage (quartered)
- 2 salted egg yolks (halved)
- 2 mushrooms (halved)
- 4 chestnuts
- 10g-20g cooked peanuts
