Thank you for the video. I see a big difference in rural life in Central Kenya as compared to rural life in other parts of Kenya. Firstly I notice that the Gikuyu Embu Meru build really nice homes in their rural areas. My Mother was from Githunguri and they grey up as 14 siblings, however in the 1980s when things were really tough in Kenya, they contributed money to build Grandma and Grandpa a decent home. It was very political, because my moms brothers (my uncles) were already contemplating inheritance of the home, yet the girls of the family (my aunts) out numbered them and had contributed more collectively for the construction of the house. Anyways the estate is now held in a jointly owned company where all the family members are equal share holders, because subdividing a 2 acre piece of land 14 times did not make any sense. This is now our family home and everyone is entitled to visit and spend the night if they like , now that Grandpa and Grandma have passed on.
