China is taking over the motorcycle industry | CF Moto 240hp V4 | new CFMoto 500SR & CFMoto 675SR

- China? Communism? Global manufacturing? When will it end? CFMoto is here to influence the minds of our easily persuaded individuals and potentially turn them into supporters of their brand. This could impact our job market and competition with established companies in the field.
In recent years, China has been making waves in the motorcycle industry, and it's not just about manufacturing anymore. CFMoto, a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, is at the forefront of this change, and they're making their mark with some remarkable bikes and plans that have enthusiasts talking.
CFMoto's Evolution:
CFMoto, once known for producing smaller displacement beginner and intermediate bikes, has ventured into the world of larger motorcycles. Rumors even suggest that they are developing a V4 Superbike. But that's not all; in China, they've unveiled new bikes, the CFMoto 675SR and 500SR, which are set to launch soon. These moves are challenging the status quo and raising questions about their impact on the market.
The CFMoto 675SR:
The CFMoto 675SR is a three-cylinder supersport machine with a powerful inline-triple engine. Patents suggest a close relationship to their 450cc twin, but with an additional cylinder to increase its displacement to 675cc. With over 100 horsepower and over 100 Nm of torque per liter, it's a promising contender in the middleweight sportbike segment.
The CFMoto 500SR:
The CFMoto 500SR, on the other hand, may have a smaller engine, but it's equally intriguing. It employs a four-cylinder engine, putting it in competition with bikes like the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR. While CFMoto hasn't disclosed power figures, they claim a top speed of over 143 mph, and the engine incorporates advanced features like forged aluminum pistons and ram air.
Global Ambitions:
What's exciting is that there's no official statement limiting these new bikes to the Chinese market. The fact that this information is available in English on CFMoto's global website suggests a broader audience. CFMoto's partnership agreements with KTM and Yamaha further emphasize their global aspirations.
The Changing Landscape:
The motorcycle industry is evolving rapidly, and partnerships like CFMoto's with KTM and Yamaha are clear indications of this change. While KTM, a company with Austrian roots, is now partially owned by an Indian company, CFMoto's collaboration represents the reality of modern global manufacturing. People's focus tends to be more on technical aspects than the manufacturing origins of their motorcycles.
CFMoto's Diverse Lineup:
CFMoto is catering to riders across various segments. From entry-level models like the 300NK and 300SS to more competitive offerings like the 450SS, they're covering a wide range. However, they face stiff competition from Japanese brands in the middleweight segment, where factors like dealer support, parts availability, and resale value come into play.
The Stigma of Chinese-made Motorcycles:
There's a stigma associated with Chinese-made motorcycles, often linked to concerns about reliability and build quality. But CFMoto is determined to challenge these perceptions by offering high-quality, feature-rich motorcycles at competitive prices.
A Glimpse into the Future:
With the introduction of the Ibex 800 Adventure Bike, CFMoto is pushing boundaries. Featuring the KTM Duke 790 engine manufactured by CFMoto themselves, it's a testament to their ambition. And with the possibility of Chinese superbikes entering the U.S. market in the near future, the motorcycle landscape could change even more dramatically.
Conclusion:
As we've explored the intricate relationships and collaborations in the motorcycle industry, it's clear that manufacturers are joining forces for global expansion and cost reduction. The build quality of motorcycles from these partnerships doesn't seem compromised. However, we hope this won't lead to situations like Harley-Davidson's AMF era, where quality suffered due to diversions into non-motorcycle ventures.
The Harley-Davidson Connection:
Speaking of Harley-Davidson, there's now a Chinese version too! QJMotors has ventured into building Harley-Davidson motorcycles, introducing the X350 and X500 models. While initially intended for China, these bikes could find their way to the U.S., offering affordable options to young riders.
Looking Ahead:
As we wrap up today's exploration, we leave you with questions: Would you trust a CFMoto superbike with your life on the track? Are the cost savings enough to make you consider Chinese-made motorcycles? And do we really need a CFMoto V4 Superbike? Share your thoughts in the comments below, and stay tuned for more exciting developments in the world of motorcycles. Until next time, ride safe and ride free!
The more competition between manufacturers can only mean great things for us

Keep buying second rate products. In my experience, they are not quality machines that last more than 8 years. Jap bikes last 40-50 years and longer. If you want cheap that is exactly what you will get.
I recently bought a second hand low mileage CF Moto 300 SR , I had seen a lot of good press about the brand and I have to say I am impressed with the build Quality, power is good for its displacement, suspension and brakes are very good as is the handling, I will definitely be eagerly awaiting the bigger sports bikes.
🤔
i dont know ... they have a long way to go! maybe in 10 years but now I will stick to Japan!
Yamaha partnering with CF Moto speaks volumes.
Yap
I am excited about these new CF Moto bikes. there used to be a day many years ago when anything that said ( made in Japan ) was considered a cheap copy knockoff. and now they are the most respected products in the world. and now in 2023 China is trying to get past their reputation of cheaply put together bikes. and it seems to me like they are accomplishing their goal. and to me it is a good thing. if CF Moto makes very competitive bikes at a lower cost it will shake up the market. and that is a good thing. it's the same as when Sony entered into the Camera business going head on against Nikon and Canon. and for the first few years had no respect from photographers and the camera market. Then Sony came out with the full frame Mirrorless cameras. but they hadn't perfected some aspects of them yet. so still the camera market treated them like a joke. but now Sony makes the best cameras and lenses out there in the world today. and is respected in the camera industry. and Sony forced Nikon and Canon to catch up to them and change their full frame cameras into mirrorless systems to compete with Sony. and now the entire camera market is better because of it. and companies like CF Moto are doing the same thing. and there will be a day when made in China will have the same respect as made in Japan. it's just bound to happen. and if companies like CF Moto can innovate and go beyond bikes that are already being made by Japan. then that will be really cool. and shake up the entire industry. which is good for the consumer.
You are right 🤔
As long as prices do not drop too much, otherwise it will become a competition "who can make it cheaper?", meaning reducing quality of components, less strict assembly control, and reduced product life (not the warranty, which is 1 year anyway). For example, experienced people who saw Kawasaki Versys of recent years, say there is a visible quality gap between 650 & 1000 models, which are now made in different plants/countries, with 650cc looking like downgraded.
I don't gamble myself to buy chinese motorcycle I still stick to Japanese motorcycle.
🍦
😂😂😂😂😂
Not after their bike on gp
Well, in the 60-70 everybody was laughing about Japanese bike, then……. Same story
Its okay bro, I will gamble for you
i daily a 300nk and ive put 6k on it. I have had zero problems. time for a new rear tire though!
reliability hasn't even crossed my mind, especially since they have a fantastic warranty
CF MOTO in july opened a plant in Mexico to help support the North American market.
A V4 with half the tech at half price does not sound bad to me. I think there is plenty of room in the market for that. Or a V4 750, that would take over super sport right now. The industry's pants are down right now. Those MV copies look amazing. Also that 500 if it is light is a brilliant move. The jump between 400 beginner and a 600 supersport is too big. That 500 could be competitive with the Aprillia 660 and R7 for less.
Yap
750 v4 has no class to race in so it would be a completely designed for civilian use meaning it would never perform as any 600cc i4
The jump from 400 to 600 is completely irrelevant a rs660 or a mt07 or gsx8s are the inbetween
Or r7, an r6 will outrun an r7 anytime.
CFMOTO designs could compete with a lot of motorcycle manufacturers… They’re by far more eye-catching to me with their Italian aesthetic influence… China is the new Japan. They will most likely outdo Japan or South Korea even in their global market product saturation, much as iPhones nowadays. 🙏🏻😊
Yes, but it will take time almost 10-15 years
Not really just Italian influence, they straight up hired italian designers for their bike designs afaik.
@@wargolemx102The design house is Kiska, same as KTM, who are Austrian
@@tofubutcher7456 my bad. But i guess my point is they didn't just copy the europeans, they hired them lol

Nice small displacement bikes for sure excited to see what's next.
I recently got the CF Moto 300nk. With all the fuss about quality etc. its got its ups and downs, but from what I have experienced of it so far the quality I expected was better than I thought. Only bought a CF moto due to budget and just to get my learner license on it. Looking at the performance of the bike I am getting so far its amazing. As long as you maintain the bike properly I guess you wont have much of a problem. Downside of what heard hasnt reached me yet but my friends have the same bike as mine and I know they dont really take care of their bike.
🤔
literally any bike will crap out if you don't maintain it.
motorcycle made from the country that makes tofu buildings apartments? Pass

I already have a 4 cylinder CBR 600, I was so hyped to buy the 450sr, It sounds and looks absolutely nuts but the small displacement is holding me back a bit, I really really hope they make the 2cylinder 800sr or 650sr soon
🤔
CFMOTO is Chinese and they're know for copying, so with enough money any existing engine can be copied and reproduced.
They don't copy...KTM got them to build engine for their 790..then somehow they join ventures..so CFmoto had access to KTM's blueprints
The Chinese a known for their intellectual property theft, and they definitely don’t know what patent is.
I can wait to get my hands on the 500sr!!! I was going to pull the trigger on the 450sr but think I'll wait just a little longer 😬
Yes me too, i just love 450sr but waiting to buy 500sr
But your missing out on fun in the meantime.

Just rode the NK800 that bike wants to be unleashed!!!!!! things a monster. Only real question will be how will the bike hold up after 10-20 years
🤔
Reliability and resale value will be a serious problem
🍦
It's in the best interest for the auto industry to not fall for the cheap Chinese knockoffs. They already ruined the smartphone industry. Plus chinese manufacturers reverse engineer European and Japanese tech to make their bikes almost as good while they are barely reliable in the long run.
🍦
No matter how much I've searched for information on the 500sr, I can't find anything, that's the one I liked the most hahaha
In the end, Cf Moto is still Chinese plus cheaper so, can't be as good as the Japanese.
Chinese, Japanese, all motorcycle matters.. 😅
Ah yes, the false equivalency between motorcycle and smartphone, never get old.
Las estoy esperando tanto, cf Moto va tener como 14 nuevos modelos el año entrante
Great, CF MOTO v4 is coming hmm
Yap Cf Moto is a rising star 🤔🤔
I’d buy a CFMoto V4 bike; why?! Because I think it would be fun to gap my friends after they make fun of me for buying a Chinese bike. Plus I already have a Honda Grom and a Kawasaki Z900 as backup
Then Chinese will be the fastest in your collection 🤔
@@SKroadstar yes that is true lol. I’m watching this because I’m on the hunt for a supersport for next season. I sold my R6 for the Z900 and definitely miss it 😢 🫠
They don’t even bother to make their own designs. In other products they straight up make cheaper versions that are lower quality. I would go Japanese before I trust a company you can’t buy dog food or baby formula from or can’t build a school house that doesn’t collapse. Their ideas might be good, but wouldn’t trust them to be original and wouldn’t trust them to monitor themselves making them in quality controll
🍦
What are you on about? The 450sr is their own design
And build quality and reliability
I own a CF Moto and Benelli bike and Benelli just copies Honda old engines but CF Moto is something else,
It is not like Japanese but still better than another Chinese bike like Benelli or Qmotorsrs
Really good quality but do not show the subtitles
Next time i will add...it
in my thoughts if this bike could competition in Moto GP specially if they can get to podium the bike market will be heading to china and the Japanese,USA and Europe factory will pursuing market and they will decrease the sales market and after market sales will be dominating by new china super bike.
Yes, this will be the strategy but waiting to see the performance.
Chinese motos start to be expensive, now they are at 75% from the japanese. Is a huge mechanical gap between them , in favor of the japanese. Mechanical quality of the japanese is just superior. I have to admit the chinese are available next day, while the competition...Can you wait 6 months ?
Huge mechanical gap? No. They are probably priced right

They are also working on Motogp bike...
I guess HP will be above then 200 at least for the customer version
@@SKroadstar I look forward to them being in Moto GP. I hope they have better Luck than Kawasaki had.
as usual...they are always overclaim
There’s a difference between Chinese made stuff and companies outsourcing their production line to china, and apple product cannot be compared with Chinese phones and same goes with bikes.
But if the same company produces products like Cf Moto makes an engine for Ktm
And then produce their bike with the same engine?
Totally wrong
Love my adventure 800mt
🤔 ...
After everything china has done over the past 3-4 years, im surprised anyone is thinking of buying anything chinese made.
🍦🍦
They make brilliant bikes. The build quality seems good and in real world tests the CFMOTO 400 killed the Honda CBR450 in a standing start drag race and nearly $800 cheaper. Now everyone is saying exactly the same things about China that they said about Japan when the big fours started appearing. There is actually quite a bit of new engine tech going into CF bikes. Love them or hate them, the rise of the Chinese Motorcycle is here.
Yap
Do yourself a favour and have a look at a CFMoto in a dealership and have a test ride. They are making brilliant machines and will be world beaters soon. It goes in cycles ('scuse the pun). The 50's saw Italy assume the mantle from England, 60's and 70's the Japanese took over and recently Italy and Austria have hit back, but these Chinese bikes are going to eat everything.
I am waiting for the launch of 500sr and 675sr i will buy one on the basis of overall shape.
WELL, THEY ARE MAKING SO MANY PARTS FOR MANY BRANDS, SO, why not. also many say China is communist but today they seem more Nationalist. If they make a good dependable machine I will try them. bet their triple engine is based on Yamaha's triple. I remember when I bought my first CB 750 Honda it had all the same stigmas...look at them today. today I love my 2018 Zed 900 Kawasaki Naked and my 2023 Harley soft tail standard. If they make something on par with the Agusta Brutal naked that is reasonalbly priced with seat height like my Kawasaki... helll ya!
I love motorcycles! I have owned eighteen over the past forty one years. I welcome any manufacture that can build a good quality bike. Until now I have not seen a quality Chinees bike on the road but perhaps they are coming. Having owned a KTM, the quality was good the reliability was not so good. So, in my thinking pairing with KTM is not a selling point to me. But then Japan, Italy and Germany are probably not pounding on the door to team up with the Chinees motorcycle companies. Only time will tell, I am not opposed to owning a good quality bike built warever. If moon men built a good bike I would give it a chance.

Reviews of Chinese motorcycles or cars for the West are dubious to say the least, it is easy for manufacturers to choose key channels and platforms, offering substantial payments to put their models among European, Japanese or American models.
The quality and durability of the materials used for its construction are inferior to maximize benefits, safety and quality tests are in many cases vague or non-existent.
When we recommend a machine that is manufactured by companies without long experience and tradition, without motor culture, with the philosophy of building by reducing costs to maximize profits. Safety and reliability are concepts that still need to be matured in the Asian country. The health and lives of users is something that should be taken more seriously.

How much is a used bike worth. Nothing?
I love CFMoto
Absolutely garbage and very un reliable my friend has cf Moto and it sucks and no good service
But I have and, amazingly, only services are not as good plus expensive as Honda or Yamaha.
I can confirm the service is garbage, and supply even for an oil filter is a complication.
In my country, CFmoto has good dealership and service. Bikes themselves are good for the price, just lacking some refinement as compared to Japanese bikes (e.g. vibration, some jerkiness, etc.), plus most models don't have "electronic assistants", but that's OK for low-level bikes (like you won't need launch control for 60-70 hp bike). They are good beginner bikes in many segments.
