Go to the insurance auction and find your self a fairly new drivable minor collision car which will fit your rods wheelbase, maybe even and electric. pop off its body & discard and mount your old rods body to it. NOW- you have a cool looking old rod riding around on late model smooth riding chassis w all the latest safety features, its is reliable quiet and comfortable. UNLESS of course you want to spend every weekend for years to come banging out dents & grinding & sanding & welding and swearing. !
Body swaps have their place in car customization. I prefer this method for this project. 65”wide x 133” long wheelbase cars are no longer a thing with new safety standards. I enjoy the challenge
