    It seems scale sheet metal represents warbird sheet metal best of all. The work here is utterly astounding. My own scale model making seems so poor by comparison! You sir, are perhaps one of the best ever at your craft! The realism of the weathering on the Ju87 evokes feelings, such is the completeness of the effect. Cute cat too, lending scale to the project!

    • @rojasbazan
      @rojasbazan  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you, sir. This is real aluminum, so the weathering process is more natural and you don't need to "practice alchemy" to achieve some effects.

    Señor Rojas Bazán, agradezco de todo corazón, su atenta y agradable respuesta a mi comentario. Créame que es muy considerado de su parte el aprecio que usted ha hecho de mis palabras. Lo que he visto en estos años en cuanto a ciertos grupos de modelismo a escala se refiere, es lo que usted, bien ha descrito, pues priva más la envidia, el tratar de hallar errores en la perfección, sin detenerse a contemplar en lo maravilloso que es esta parcela del arte, que es el modelismo a escala. Más bien aquí en mi país hay cierto elitismo, y orgullo de clase en cuanto al modelismo se refiere, ya que acá se le dice «enmontañado» al modelista de provincia, que no usa kits de «mejoramiento». Mi padre, que era formador y Herrero, me enseñó su arte y a través de el yo fui creando mis propias herramientas para modelismo. El me decía que si algo no existía, debíamos de tener el valor de crearlo, con nuestras propias manos, pues tanto estás, como nuestra mente, son infinitas. Las palabras de mi viejito, calaron hondo en mi, y son, hasta la fecha, la razón por la cual tengo un propósito en la vida. Hay que crear, hay que inventar cosas útiles e inspiradoras, sin dejarnos influenciar por los comentarios de los «señores photoetched», o los insensatos que juzgan el error a la belleza visual de un modelo a escala. Yo, en lo personal agradezco que existan seres humanos elevados como su persona, que tratan de crear un mundo mejor con sus obras, ya que estas son el aliciente para superarnos y ser cada día mejores personas. Nuevamente le reitero mi admiración a su persona, y me suscribo de usted con las más altas muestras de mi consideración, respeto y estima, que su trabajo y su persona merecen. Saludos y un gran abrazo desde Guatemala la Tierra del Quetzal.

      Hola Jayro, ¡Feliz Navidad! Huy, podría hablar horas sobre los modelistas tanto profesionales (hay muy pocos) y los aficionados en todas sus variantes. Tengo 40 años de estar entre ellos y los he conocido en los cuatro países diferentes donde he trabajado profesionalmente. Los que hacen plastimodelismo dicen que los que hacen RC son "jugueteros" y sus modelos no están en escala y no están bien pintados; los que hacen RC dicen que los modelos de plástico no vuelan y que quienes los modelan no saben nada sobre vuelo, y así eternamente. Yo estoy en el medio en ese sentido. Pero en todos los casos lo que causa cierto rechazo es ver a esos gurús que hablan mucho y se creen genios pero no pueden mostrar un solo modelo decente. Te envío los mejores deseos para el nuevo año, que todos esperamos ansiosamente para dar vuelta la hoja lo antes posible. Un abrazo y cuídate.

      Muchísimas gracias y bendiciones a su vida y su familia. Los Gurús nos tienen sin cuidado, mi estimado señor Rojas Bazán, sigamos con nuestro camino y escuchemos la voz de nuestro propio corazón.

  • @jayrohumbertoguzmanvalenci1351

    Estimado Señor Rojas Bazán, estoy impactado, por la belleza y e impresionante precisión de sus modelos. Yo me precio de compartir con algunos amigos este hermoso hobby que es el modelismo a escala. No existen palabras para expresar mi respeto y gran admiración por las obras de arte que salen de sus manos, que a manera de cápsulas del tiempo, nos muestran, la tecnología de tiempos pretéritos, exponiendo milímetro a milímetro, la primorosidad, el fino y exacto detalle, en cada uno de sus modelos, que bien puedo decir, que son como hijos para usted, dado el amor que usted pacientemente, le imprime pieza a pieza, a tan magníficas obras de arte. Rojas Bazán, es al modelismo a escala, lo que Miguel Ángel o Leonardo Da Vinci a la pintura. Ud. Señor Rojas Bazán, tiene la paciencia de un orfebre chino, creando una delicada escultura de jade, o la acuciosidad y precisión de un perfecto relojero suizo. Le reitero mi respeto y mi admiración. Que Dios le bendiga, y bendiga sus manos, con las cuales usted es capaz de crear un mundo en miniatura, para hacer las delicias de quienes como un servidor de usted, humildemente le seguimos y admiramos. Reciba un cordial saludo desde Guatemala la Tierra del Quetzal, y que pase unas muy felices fiestas al lado de su apreciable familia, y que sus sueños y anhelos para el próximo año 2021, se conviertan en una hermosa realidad, a pesar de la pandemia.

    • @rojasbazan
      @rojasbazan  Před 3 lety +1

      Estimado Jayro, qué placer es leer a alguien que escribe en prosa poética en estos tiempos. Yo valoro muchísimo la forma de expresar sus sentimientos cuando un trabajo hecho por otra persona lo emociona tanto. En estos tiempos de tanta agresión, la gente como usted representa un bálsamo para el espíritu. Usted sabe que en este tipo de modelismo, que básicamente es un hobby para la mayoría, hay mucho ego injustificado, celos, envidia y hasta insultos. En un foro español de plastimodelismo -que ya desapareció como tantos otros- recuerdo que un "gurú" vio el trabajo que hizo un compañero y el comentario estúpido que publicó fue: -"Estoy muy deprimido. Voy a estar varios días tratando de encontrarte un error". Sin palabras, a eso ha llegado esta hermosa disciplina. En mi caso desde hace 30 años, navego contra la corriente; investigo muchísimo y construyo mis propios modelos prescindiendo de kits y accesorios. Y eso a mucha gente le molesta mucho, lo sé positivamente. Yo también le deseo a usted y a toda su familia lo mejor para estas fiestas, a pesar del momento trágico que estamos viviendo. Que pasen una hermosa Navidad y por supuesto lo mejor para el 2021. Saludos a su hermoso país!

My study on this subject, and based on my experience, is that 50% of the time needed to build a good model should be devoted to serious research (technical and engineering drawings, manuals and original photos), while the other 50 % corresponds to construction.

      Sir, thank you for the nice comment. That's a point; some clients want the models in natural metal (see my A6M2), and others want them painted but without the weathering process (like the owner of Fine Art Models, see my SBD-3, too "clean"). In the case of the Ju 87, the customer wanted it painted and "real". However, you have to consider how long the actual plane survived. It is wrong weathering a model that represents a machine that was only in combat for two days or two months as if it had fought for five years! Many modelers don't understand that.

    • @Rena152
      @Rena152 Před 3 lety +1

      Jim, I've already started working on the project. I have to fix some problems (update my website, open a "store" link and and find the best way to make international transactions because many interested people live overseas in different countries), but it's all on the way. I'm going to offer a combo consisting of some samples of the aluminum I use, a couple of finished ribs and longerons, a spar and a couple of skin panels with frames. I will also attach a DVD with the basic explanations and some printed instructions . This will be to be able to satisfy the modelers who ask me for a tutorial now. In the meantime I will be able to continue working on the main project which will be much more complete. Thank you for your interest, Guillermo.

    Dear Mr.Rojaz, I come back again and again and am always amazed at the level of detail and work you put into your models, and the more I watch the more I also want to scratch build a model of my own. Do please tell us the materials you use and the types of aluminum sheets you use. I would also like to know how do you stick the aluminum bits together. Do you weld them with a wire welding tool? Glue? Or mechanically bonding them? This is to me the most important information that I need to get started on my own projects. And thanks in advance.
    Edit: I saw you will be working on the DVD tutorial starting next year. I wish to thank you on behalf of all model makers who are also eagerly awaiting to learn from your techniques!

    No me cabe la menor duda mi estimado Señor Rojas Bazán que todas y cada una de las explicaciones vertidas en su excelente video acerca de su hermoso Stuka, pueden acallar al mas cascarrabias de los "buscafallas" empedernidos, pues como usted lo ha demostrado de manera excelsa en cada una de sus obras maestras, lo primordial es armarse con cuanta referencia histórica, fotográfica, incluso planos originales y la mecánica de funcionamiento de cada elemento y dispositivo del avión original, para ejecutar posteriormente el modelo que se desea recrear. Si buscar el material de referencia es una tarea harto monumental y acuciosa, eso dice mucho del inmenso amor que usted le prodiga a cada una de sus "criaturas aladas", dándole esa mágica, magnífica y portentosa calidad digna del mas celoso curador de museo, o diseñador aeronáutico mas exigente. Reciba mi respeto y mi admiración por su preciado trabajo Señor Rojas Bazán, así como mi gratitud por compartir sus vivencias que impulsan en nuestro ser, alcanzar la excelencia, no solo en este hermoso hobby, si no en cada faceta de nuestras vidas. Hasta pronto mi estimado "Magnus Doctor Modellis" Rojas Bazán, le saluda un humilde servidor Jayro Guzmán. Que Dios le bendiga abundantemente.

      @rojasbazan  Před 9 měsíci

      Estimado Jayro, te agradezco mucho las palabras. Tú eres una de las pocas personas que han entendido lo que hay atrás de esto. Es verdad, yo utilizo un 60% del tiempo de construcción en la búsqueda del material de referencia y en la investigación, algo que disfruto mucho más que la construcción en sí misma.
      Actualmente estoy por terminar un enorme B-24, que será mi último modelo "grande", pues de ahí en adelante me dedicaré a renovar mi viejo y estropeado sitio web, editar algunos videos para enseñar mis técnicas, pero principalmente a escribir un libro sobre toda la experiencia que obtuve construyendo modelos en distintos países durante casi cuatro décadas. Será un libro sobre anécdotas relacionadas al modelismo en escala profesional bastante inusual, porque no existe algo similar que se haya escrito hasta ahora. También quiero mostrar que no es necesario tener un taller con impresora 3D, herramientas eléctricas costosas ni un arsenal de pinturas y aerógrafos para lograr mejores modelos. Tampoco es necesario utilizar tecnología para mostrar fotografías "fake" de modelos que jamás se construyeron o son un vulgar engaño. Tengo mucho para hablar de eso. Será hasta pronto y muchas gracias por tu muy amable mensaje. Guillermo.

      @@rojasbazan Ese libro será algo épico y a escala bíblica dentro del modelismo a escala, y será un honor para mí leerlo y releerlo para poner en práctica su fantástico contenido. Que bueno que me tomó la palabra con el asunto de publicar sus vivencias y quehaceres en su aventura modelística que no puede quedar desaparecida. Ojalá existiese un descendiente suyo que pudiera continuar con tan grandioso legado, pues para mí, sería triste que este se llegara a perder. De todas maneras cuando su libro se publique con la ayuda de Dios, haré lo que esté a mi alcance para obtenerlo, pues de esta forma podremos develar ese "misterio envuelto dentro de un enigma" según las palabras del viejo Churchill que constituyen cada uno de las bellísimas réplicas que su magnífico ingenio ha sabido crear.
