Red in the blue, makes me think of veins/arteries? Cause you know. They look blue in your skin. But you bleed red. I love The Summoning character, reminds me of Warhammer. I love the jaw hanging off of the minigun.
I think of the song higher and the lyrics Scarlett and utlraviolet
I agree with the veins/arteries…I think there are a lot of metaphors in the song as that’s what Sleep Token is really good at, but it’s a “love” song of sorts…also, the ending is straight up funk!
I feel like it’s way simpler than that. It’s like a blood trail in the water. The same way a shark could track a fish from far away from the blood alone. There were a lot of ocean type metaphors in their second album.

That makes total sense. I was thinking that the red blood trail was normal blood, and the blue was 'royal blood' ie. Putting the other person on a pedestal, devine qualities. I'm probably wrong lol

This song is a total ride and that’s what Sleep Token creates. If you want to take another one, Take Me Back to Eden (title track of last album) is a whole trip. Highly recommend.

One of the most talented bands on the planet…all anonymous, although you can figures out their identities with a little internet sleuthing…they make music for musicians…dive down the rabbit hole-you won’t regret it. The singer writes all the music and plays all the instruments, except drums, the drummer is an absolute unit. The touring guitarist & bassist recently became full members. I discovered this band at 47 & it’s not an exaggeration to says it’s been life changing
Ascensionism is an absolute MUST!!
This album is a relationship. From the Chokehold trough wanting to leave the pain behind on the earth, to questioning why, wanting it back then Euclid is the end, the realisation it’s over and okay to move on. Healing and time to be someone new. The album is AOTY
I hope you continue your ST journey. So many of us were Summoned with this song. They mix genres so well.
The group is Vessel who sings and plays keyboard/ piano and II the drummer. Vessel does all the guitar work on the albums. They're joined on stage by III on bass and IV on guitar.
I'll recommend older stuff, Hypnosis or The Offering.

DEFINITELY listen to Ascensionism by them next if you like the change up they did in THIS song. Talk about some change-ups! That's the song that got me hooked on them and haven't looked back since😂
I second, third, and fourth this suggestion! Heard Ascensionism for the first time the night the album came out and it was the first song to have me in tears on a first listen. Not even because of the lyrics, but just because of how shocked I was at what I was hearing

That's what's also fun with Sleep Token, there are TONS of ways to interpret the lyrics, no wrong answer until proven otherwise haha. As long as it relates to you, it's right. I read someone's interpretation of "blood trail red in the blue" as blood in the ocean, followed by a shark (their whole point was trying to prove that Vessel is actually a shark but who are we to say it's wrong 😂). Just lots of lyrical fun to have!

Great reaction!! You guys definitely need to react to sleep token other songs called “take me back to Eden” or “rain”. They all have a different type of feel. I love this band and I think you guys will be impressed by these songs

I think Mr. Bootchar might enjoy Lorna Shore and maybe Bad Omens especially the newest songs. I don't know if all of you will enjoy Lorna Shore but I think Bootchar will. I believe most if not all of yall will enjoy Bad Omens. Both lead vocalist are amazing Will Ramos is the lead singer for Lorna Shore and his band is insanely great with awesome break downs! Noah Sebastian is the lead singer for Bad Omens and his range and talent is exceptional. His videos are really well done. Not Quite Falling In Reverse but above average and his vocals are stunning.
I’ll have to agree on the recommendations for Ascensionism and Take Me Back To Eden. Always nice to see reactors viewing Sleep Token favourably 😊
This band is something I have never seen before and the lyrics are out of this world.
If you want your blow mind, you must listen to Take me back to Eden and Ascensionism.
Then you're in the rabbit hole and there's no turning back.
The band is anonymous, the singer is Vessel, drummer is ii, bassist is iii and the guitarist is iv.
Blood trial red and the blue could be because your blood is blue till it comes out then it goes red
So, is the second part what would be considered Prog Rock? btw, y'all are funny, you made me snort oj, and that ain't right! I enjoyed the reactions! I am going in my artsy craftsy room to listen to it again minus the distractions and listen to it, alone. I really do enjoy the sound. I am lyrically minded though, so once I have had the opportunity to unpack those lyrics and listen to what is being said, along with intent, I'm going to hold my vote.

Best band ever IMO😭😩 also, the drummer is insane. And obviously the vocals are amazing everytime. Also the recorded versions there is only two people. Vessel is the singer who does vocals, piano, bass and guitar and ii who does drums. Live versions they have three girls for backing vocals and there is vessel- vocals and piano, ii- drums, iii- bass. Iv guitar. There is a lot of lore behind this band I highly reccomend you check out too! They also have a couple of music videos. You should check out alkaline with the music video!
They use synth as well which makes some of the sounds you hear.
