- A couple of weeks ago, the Queen of Soul Mary J. Blige had best friend Missy Elliott on her radio show "Real Talk," where the pair discussed tons of topics, ranging from Elliott's work with Jodeci & her old group Sista, discovering longtime buddy Timbaland & Goldmind Inc. affiliate Jazmine Sullivan to producing Aaliyah's "One in a Million" and stealing the spotlight from Katy Perry during the 2015 Super Bowl XLIX. Missy also talks about the last-minute recording for "Get Ur Freak On," collaborating with J. Cole ("Nobody's Perfect"), Pharrell ("WTF") & Mary ("Never Been"), and what legacy Aaliyah would have left behind if she was still alive.

It's about time someone bring something real to the scene. Donohue, Ricky Lake, Jerry Springer and even Ellis D all brought that sense of non-scripted illusion even if it was.... But Mary truly has something for guests who becomes the interest and not have the play safe scene going on. It's real and respectful..let's talk..it's about you and not me. It's good to know that Mary still hungers that she not afraid to need more and not just want it to have it. It's nice to know that she doesn't mind admitting she's missing that full Missy E. flava.
