- Now this is what I am talking about! I'm vibing with this song a lot more than Loco but then again they're so different, it's hard to compare but I can say for sure that my body and brain were all in for this and it got me really excited! I know saying "ay" every 2 seconds isn't a criteria in a song being good or not but to me that means that I'm feeling a song lol
This is definitely the epitome of the two last years, super connected to reality for sure. It was fun, fresh, trendy, young, catchy, dynamic, colorful, a tab of attitude and just this zest of uniqueness that I love seeing from them! Idk if I would have put this as a title track but right now I like it a bit more than Loco! Plus the MV is so cool, the editing, the transitions are *chef's kiss! Yeah this was a lot of fun!
PS: I noticed only after but the insects are the end are neither mosquitos not flies, I think they're bees and we kinda see them during Chae's solo shot?

Swipe is that song that has high potential to trend on tik tok. Swipe swipe swipe 😌In my opinion Loco definitely fits being the title track representing the whole "crazy in love" concept and swipe is a great b-side track!

Girl, same! For me Swipe has the sass, energy and colors of Itzy. Their rapping is soooo much better. One of their best tracks...
I think its not necessarily about any social media..but how if the person is not accepting them for who they are and have a problem with everything they do they can just go away(from what i understood from the lyrics)..So the "swipe" is just swiping the whole person 😂

I instantly fell in love with Swipe even before the M/V was released. Looking at the steps, it seems to be easy to follow (hooray for those on Tiktok). Chorus has that "forbidden suneung" kind of vibe as well (i.e. bad for the exam week).
This song lowkey gives me nct , stray kids and red velvet vibes. Its such a bop.
I can see cause "pose" and "swipe" do have the same vibe? I guess... not sure what the right word is.. like in pose they repeat the word pose and for swipe they repeat the word swipe in respective songs

As for me I always liked ITZY's music after Dalla Dalla.
I didn't like their debut at first, but after some time it somehow grew on me and now I think it's one of the best debuts of kpop girlgroups.
About Loco when it came out I was very neutral, but also after some time it grew on me and now it's my favorite title track of ITZY.
When it comes to the album itself I didn't like 5 songs and swipe is actually one of them 😕

Loco did grew on me too. Many did not like MITM but i loved it mostly cause how they deliver their lines with confidence and swag. I like Swipe, sooo Lucky and LOVE is but i have a hard time liking the other.. i think they will grew on me with a few more listen.

Omg I agree!! This album was good but I prefer other albums much more.. it’s definitely better than guess who but I think that it’z me and not shy are just masterpieces, but yeah loco is really good and the only songs I liked from the album are boom box, love is, and chillin chillin lol
I didn’t like the album at all… just loco and boom boxx. The rest are all skips. I prefer guess who MUCH more

I personally liked Loco, Love is, Chillin Chilling and Mirror, but since I have to be in a mood for ballads Mirror is probably still gonna be skipped most times.

A couple of my friends said that LOCO was giving them a little 2nd gen vibes (like Miss A Only You's hyper cousin) n i think that's why you vibed with SWIPE more n felt that it was more fresh and unique and "very itzy". SWIPE sounds current n trendy, which is what itzy embodies. They're the current It group. I hope you'll listen to the rest of the album. #twenty is a personal fave 👌🏼💕
#Twenty, LOVE is and Chillin' Chillin' are also deserve the m/v as much as SWIPE imo 😭

Itzy is a group that I’ve had in my playlist for the year that I’ve been listening to KPoP. BUT they were just another group. Until Loco, now I know all the members and have been watching lots of interviews and live performances. I’m not saying Coco is better than Not Shy (which is my favourite) but I guess it proved to me that there are enough awesome songs to “Stan” the group. Oh and Swipe is fantastic!

We have different tastes and perspectives. Loco got me on the first listen while Swipe took me a few more listens before I actually liked it. By the way nice reaction!!! I hope you react to the full album. Loco, CHILLIN', CHILLIN'CHILLIN', LOVE is, Mirror and Gas Me Up are my top five. Swipe, B[OO]M-BOXX and Twenty are also fire.
CRAZY IN LOVE era is SUPERIOR and their BEST.
Tbh, I have straight opposite opinion about these two songs from itzy. I got along with swipe only on second/third listening. And loco looked for me absolutely natural, the state in which itzy's image had to evolve sooner or later.

I really love Loco, but honestly I didn't like Swipe at first, even I could say that I hate it. But it grows on me with the MV. I don't like this album as much as Guess Who. With Guess Who I liked all the songs the first time I listen them, but with Crazy In Love, I have tried to listen them several times and I could say that I love only 3 songs. But, it's OK, right? Everyone has their tastes and preferences, the important thing is that the girls have worked a lot and we can see it.

I definitely liked this song at first listen unlike Loco, which I found very interesting
For me, LOCO has different vibe with swipe. Seeing the whole performance (dance) of LOCO and SWIPE, I think it is better for LOCO to be a comeback track. I mean they have different vibe but LOCO has its ITZY vibe but I do love the dance chorus of SWIPE but not the whole dance performance.

i can see that it's very catchy though this is what i kinda expected for itzy this comeback not necessarily this song but am i the only one who miss the clean production? i mean look at dalla dalla and wannabe, it's still so much stuff which is why it's the title track but we still can process each section in the song, first listen of loco im stuck at the first chorus, and the second verse seems like it's made lazily, dalla dalla was not that crowded i mean like many many instrumentals but it's clean and it catches our attention easily without being repetitive.
I can see what you are saying. Maybe thats why many felt overwhelmed when they heard LOCO. cause this time the title song had to be form an album they probably wanted to make it full packed so maybe thats why it had more layers and parts

I liked "SWIPE", but I LOVED "LOCO"--even though it was completely in English, which I don't generally like in K-Pop songs.
Ngl but it took a few more listens for me to vibe with this song but I still cannot get on board with the video. It wasn't horrible or anything but it just wasn't on my vibe. Despite that I did like the choreo they are always on with that and never miss. Also fashion is always on point!

I think "LOCO" is similar to "Mafia in the morning", the more you listen you realize it's has a catchy chorus and it's actually good song. But yes "Swipe" is good than "LOCO", nice comeback for ITZY....

This is definitely a better song than Loco.
Loco is like the essential Itzy title formula. Predictable and little boring. But understandable.
This is much much more exciting, more creative, and much closer to the true roots and essence of Itzy.
Evolving is good, but sometimes Kpop groups are trying to grow older by 10 years when they are barely out of their teens.
