      the thing is, these wing chun fighters arent the best..... they are better than me and i know i cant really speak but their distancing and punching arent too great.. The punching (for both fighters) aren't really straight and when being pressured sometimes they just freak out and start throwing non close hand punches... i dont really know if they are supposed to do that but im pretty sure a closed fist is better than chop to the head or slap.... im not a martial art practicer but this is what i saw so if am wrong please tell me why.

    I think this comes very close to real wing chun for the street, cause it can cope with the adrenaline rush. I know there are some fantastic WSL and even Leung Ting fighters. They train very well to keep their forms under pressure. But than they can use it in hard sparring. That is quite something if you master it. But in real fight, always a lot of form will go overboard. It is just how the human body works.

      Yes, there is, but it's not like in the Ip Man movie. If you care to carefully watch some videos on this channel, you can have a pretty good idea what real Wing Chun is like. Some of the videos even have time tags in comments so simplify analysis. Good luck!

      Funny thing is, if you see techniques of old Muay Thay schools, it is actually very similar to Wing Tsun. In the short distance fight, man studied and refined the same techniques, since this is what the human body allows you to do (elbows, knees...); so, you may be right

      Depends on the fighter and their experience really. If all you do is spar against one style it's hard to learn to deal with other systems if they are really different. You should try to find other styles to practice with once in awhile. Some of my old classmates did other things before training Wing Chun.

    its true some people have been knocked out in boxing with jabs, or even very light almost touches to the top of the head, which is a very sensitive area, with perfect timing, guy leaning forward just a bit and he's caught at the right spot? yeah, its possible.. but from a wing chun straight punch like they do? even if you have the perfect form, and you really put your waist into it, never happen. And like, im not trying to say WC is not effective, there are a lot of benefits in doing wing chun, chi sao sparring etc. You learn how to re-wire your natural reflexes. But the WC punch is crap IMO. They do have some pretty good kicks though, if you are good at executing that front kick, and that side kick, its very effective. And of course their low kicks to the knees are really good too.

    • @realwingchun
      @realwingchun  Před 4 lety +4

      Fight is never perfect. There were good kicks (with good balance) and bad kicks from both sides, I guess. And that’s because they move all the time. Plus simultaneous using of arms and legs complicates the situation.
      And I know these guys in person. They punch and kick hard, believe me.

    Problem I see here is their stance, their leg work is so weak. Wing Chun, is supposed to be a CQC style, very direct, no BS, it was made for self defence, yet explosive & extremely dangerous & fatal given the right experience. I see many videos, depicting Wing Chun Kung Fu or pretending to show real Wing Chun, but not many can show good leg work, stance. Jut Ma, or Horse Stance is also very important, without foundation in legwork, your opponent will see this as your weak point. A martial artist who has weak leg work, lower body stance, is easy to defeat. A true martial artist, with good foundation in legwork, is like a mountain, unmovable.
    The leg work I see here is sloppy, very sloppy.
