BPN 50 MILER: MY FIRST ULTRAMARATHON

  • The BPN 50 Miler was by far the hardest thing I have ever done, both mentally and physically. It was hot, and the terrain was challenging, with 10 hours of complete darkness.
When I started running consistently a year ago, an ultra was never on my mind. With the race being 8 weeks after my first marathon, there were definitely doubts. But I finished the race.
This experience showed me how much pain I can endure. I look forward to continuing on this journey.

Congratulations bud you can be proud of yourself! It’s really amazing and inspirational to see people like you run races like that.
I just watched some of your videos and I am curious for how long do you run consistently now?
I want to run a marathon end of this year but never run more then 10 miles.. I’m starting to run at least twice a week rn and go to the gym 4 times a week.
Do you have any tips for me on how to improve my running, also going faster with a lower heart rate ? I would really appreciate it!
You definitely got a new subscriber here 🫵🏼

I appreciate it!!! I have been running consistently for about a year now. It’s been a constant increase in training intensity and mileage over this last year. I’m still really about listening to your body and easing into it. If you have run 10 miles, you can definitely run a marathon. I can help you get a plan together if you have a marathon date in mind. Let me know!

      @@lucaswenzel. that’s amazing thank you!
I’m currently still living in Germany but I’m planing to live in New Zealand for a year for work and travel. I’m flying down there in December/ January. I’m currently looking for races (marathons) that are happening there, to sign up for, so that I’ll commit myself to my training with a the goal in mind.. But no fixed date yet. I do want to attempt one between January and March, if possible.
I would actually need a little help with scheduling my training. I do do training plans by myself but I really don’t know what to prioritize or if I do it right.. I’m just starting this journey and do what I think works and is right. I also have my 9-5..
So thanks for the offer, I really do like to consider it !!
