Hi Sarah. I'm a percussionist as well. Went for two weeks to Abene in Senegal for a Djembé course organized by a Dutch group. You can find more Djembé videos from abene under my name Gert Bomhof.
I love it! I'm not a djembefola, but I'm a percussionist and the idea to combine traditional West Africa instruments and rhythm with guitar, bass guitar and brass it's, at least, it's something new! Very good djembefola and the other players too. And the dancer...she's great also with hawaianas on her feet! Very good stuff! (Sorry for my English! I hope it's understandable!)
