The Bluebell Polka was written by Scottish music legend Sir Jimmy Shand and became his signature tune. He is the only artist worldwide to have his name used by the Hohner accordion company as a model name for a musical instrument and the Bluebell Polka is the only accordion tune to make the UK Singles charts top 20, which it did in December 1955.
