Aging is not a bad thing if your finances are in order. I only use credit for opportunistic purchases of things that will last. It's not always about your income as much as the outcome.

I see Paramore, Jackson, Westmoreland, but I don't see 39th street, Nashville, woods. The bus stops have the benches removed with a sign from Lynx and Orange County Sheriff's Department basically saying if you're here longer than needed to ride the bus, we're trespassing you, and if you been trespassed before, you're going to jail.

If thats what orlandos hoods look like than orlando is doing pretty good😂 I moved to Brandon Mississippi about 5 yrs ago which is a suburb of Jackson. While Brandon is very nice and clean, it turns into a war zone once you cross into Jackson. Neighborhoods where every 5th house is burned out and every 3rd house boarded up or caved in, pot holes EVERYWHERE, trash thrown all over like you wouldnt believe, just an absolute disaster. There are also some much rougher looking neighborhoods in Salt Lake City where im originally from.
32 + years FD (retired) all in the hood of Orange County. Last 18 all On OBT.. Had a Blast. 90 % of the people living here are awesome just trying to survive many caught up in dope and booze. 10% though are P.O.S. 100% Of the firefighters are Top Shelf.

I was surprised how run down a lot of Orlando looked. Its also a sudden change going from "downtown" west (forgot the name of the neighborhood), not too far from where this video was taken. Looked like Overtown in Miami to me.

If high end minority professionals would just go to neighborhoods like these and seriously give as many of the people as possible apprenticeships that could lead to solid/better job opportunities if the program is completed successfully......... Man the parramore district used to thrive all the businesses were black owned and were really successfully and there was a really successful community there but I-4 made things much worse coupled with white flight and now some of the areas are being gentrified closer to the lake Eola area and Amway center. It’s really sad to see what’s happened with so much poverty now compared to the great successes about 50 years ago

Me, personally I enjoy paying $300 a month rent and living right next to downtown. They are not allowed to renovate my apartment and many others on the outside because they are HISTORIC BUILDINGS. The inside is completely renovated, I have granite countertops and a fancy toilet & shower.

I know of some local areas that you wouldnt want to video, the cops wont even respond to a shooting in some cases and someone driving thru with out of town plates, 100 % u will get jacked and robbed and prob beaten , one way in , one way out and the dealers have moose wood courts on lockdown , you have to pay a tax just to survive there

I see Paramore, Jackson, Westmoreland, but I don't see 39th street, Nashville, woods. The bus stops have the benches removed with a sign from Lynx and Orange County Sheriff's Department basically saying if you're here longer than needed to ride the bus, we're trespassing you, and if you been trespassed before, you're going to jail.
People may notice you circling the blocks some...might think you are looking to score something. Your noisy power-steering pump draws attention to your car. Cops notice it too. Otherwise, great job!

Orlando more ghetto than I thought, didn't really know much about the place except as a tourist destination, just like those guys in the interview said lol. Jacksonville is probably a little more ghetto overall, but not really that much difference.

I moved to Brandon Mississippi about 5 yrs ago which is a suburb of Jackson. While Brandon is very nice and clean, it turns into a war zone once you cross into Jackson. Neighborhoods where every 5th house is burned out and every 3rd house boarded up or caved in, pot holes EVERYWHERE, trash thrown all over like you wouldnt believe, just an absolute disaster. There are also some much rougher looking neighborhoods in Salt Lake City where im originally from.

32 + years FD (retired) all in the hood of Orange County. Last 18 all On OBT.. Had a Blast. 90 % of the people living here are awesome just trying to survive many caught up in dope and booze. 10% though are P.O.S. 100% Of the firefighters are Top Shelf.

I was surprised how run down a lot of Orlando looked. Its also a sudden change going from "downtown" west (forgot the name of the neighborhood), not too far from where this video was taken. Looked like Overtown in Miami to me.

GreatLakesDrifta I’m from Overtown. Family been in Miami since the 30s my great grandma grew up Overtown. Back when it was the Harlem of the South. Miami changed a lot in the pass ten years tho. OT is extinct. Gentrified. Not like wynwood but it’s getting there.
The cars in the neighborhood are worth more than the homes/apartments especially from 10:20 through the rest of the video. If high end minority professionals would just go to neighborhoods like these and seriously give as many of the people as possible apprenticeships that could lead to solid/better job opportunities if the program is completed successfully......... At least this would be a start.

@@abp1400 orlando is grimy af because of the tourist industry...low-wage service jobs, rapid population growth and lack of affordable housing, lack of cultural institutions, constant transients etc. just look at OBT or like you say Kissimmee, wasteland of old tourist areas that no tourist today would ever visit.
Man the parramore district used to thrive all the businesses were black owned and were really successfully and there was a really successful community there but I-4 made things much worse coupled with white flight and now some of the areas are being gentrified closer to the lake Eola area and Amway center. It’s really sad to see what’s happened with so much poverty now compared to the great successes about 50 years ago
