I totally agree with what you say. I didn't meet my partner til I was 37. But I have to say the guys I dated for like since I was 17 werent really my type or actually liked me. I took a long time to learn like you said relationship schooling. And also retain my personality than date people who didn't actually like or love me. And also I found I'm extremely picky I can be extremely boring to someone who doesn't like me. Me and my boyfriend are more compatible because we have things in common. It may be luck that we crossed paths. And it's not a crazy love affair. But a stable love.
I'm 41 now.
I don't think I knew myself enough til now. And also sometimes it about common values. I believe in love. And there is such thing as a life time relationship. My parents are seniors and they are still together and I hope me and my boyfriend will too. His parents were still together for a life time. I think media and society tells us everyone is looking for a fling or a hyper sexual relationship. Finding someone who actually treats me with respect was life changing and it's hard out there. Society is like brainwashed. I don't think monogomy is dead. It's very noble. And cherished. I believe in God. Sometimes I think I found this rare love. I'm not one to take an abusive relationship or be in a relationship I'm not happy in. But this rare love can make a family. I guess my boyfriend is from an older generation which is how it worked out. I'm very happy and lucked out.
