Do you treat them with oil or wax to prevent rust?

Thank you, yes. I usually treat with beeswax. I have been using a new finish the past year. It's a mix of beeswax, linseed oil, and pure turpentine. A good finish and smells great!

​@@JohnathonBrockI see! So if the heat is throughout the piece, I have a higher chance it'll distort or it won't move where I want it to. The material will only move where it's hot. I hope that makes sense!

Работа хорошая, но незавершённая.
На другом конце открывашки я всегда отковываю кольцо, чтобы повесить на крючок или связку ключей. Получается хороший брелок. Начинающий кузнец из России.

Not finished, which is subjective. Its taste, purpose of use, etc. Sometimes less is more.
