- Final Fantasy 7 Remake preview features Cloud, Tifa and Aerith's combat abilities, plus the Ifrit summon. FF7 Remake launches as a timed exclusive for PS4 on April 10, 2020.
There are two types of people
Aerith casting Fire: "Time to fire it up!"
Cloud casting Fire: "Time to burn!"
Tifa casting Fire: "Let's make it hot!"

The particles and slow mo effect each time you go into tactical mode is a Very nice treat to my eyes. ❤

Seeing the battle system in this video for the first time is exactly what made me order the game.

To think, when I was 5 to 8 It was side scrolling with Sonic in pixelated glory. Now 31... Just look at this... 20yrs has brought an unbelievable advance compared to then. I cannot bloody wait until I am 50. It will be worth living for Just to see it all. Providing advances do not slow down, I will be playing the Pokemon Red remake Sword art Online style. I am already saving up 😁

i think the game needs a hard mode that way your forced to think in every fight.
Apparently the game in normal is very hard, also there is a Hard mode once you beat the game, it was on the leaks

Sadly, it does have a bit of depth, but not much. I can see this getting repetitive easily.

If your good with money get them on buy now pay later, I do it often and sometimes get money off codes so works out way cheaper

Game looks dope af i mean they stepped took it to a whole new level after FFXV.
This game’s combat is a mix of Lightning Returns,Kingdom Hearts,Crisis Cors,and Every Hack n slash game
Rpg is more of turn based game, I think SE did a decent job having real time and turn based in combat system. You can always preset the hot key with certain spells attack and healing so you don't have to pause the screen everytime.

I've read a lot about the combat system of FF7 remake and it seems to be a hybrid bettwen real time hack and slash and the classic turn based playstyle. Is this accurate to say? It generally sounds like you have tons of combat options available in this game which is exactly what I loved about the original FFVII. I guess I will be buying this game at the next steam sale after all.
Playing ffxii right now so this gameplay doesnt differ much already. Getting this too

Nikko Carl Esber there’s nothing that’s for everyone. The positive feedback surrounding the games pretty creative combat far outweighs the negativity but that doesn’t mean everyone will like it. Especially people who due to health or preference reasons prefer turn based and not action. This system even in classic mode just isn’t for them. I wouldn’t worry.
Majority of the fans like the battle system.
I personally would give this 8/10.
U might ask, what happened to remaining 2 points ?
The thing is, battle system might not be hack and slash, and theres still that turn based system, however, I think we should be able to atleast modify AI actions when youre not using certain characters.
Id say, if u combine this battle system, and ff12 battle system, Id give this 10/10.
Or when using tactical mode, make the character follow a command set of combos (like they did in FF13), then u can switch to anothrt character to do the same.
@ANTHONY 8/10 is a bit high for me. Thats my opinion.
Ive played all final fantasy and loved the battle system. What I like about the remake is how complex and beautiful the battle system. However, theres a lil bit of hack and slash here, and you cant completely control the AI's movement while youre using 1 character. Again, thats my opinion. And I knw you can change characters and control them the way you want to, but you cant use two at the same time right ?
Like I said, if theres a gambit system like in 12, with this battle system, Id give this 10/10
15 was 8 for me as well in terms of battle system. The hack and slash was strong here, and you have limited controls on other characters.
@ANTHONY Thats what I like about this battle system. If you ask me, Id vote FF12 with best battle system before the demo of ff7. But with FF7 remake, I dont know which I would say the best battle system. Both have its own flaws, but they both excel in their own ways.
It is the final fantasy 12 system minus the auto fight feature plus they didn't even make it. They hired a no name team to make the game, fired the team, and gave zero credit for it.

They say , we can switch the battle style between real time turn based and this. Is it true?
it looks like when a summon has be summoned every partymember can use the summon two time for a certain attack
They use their atb gauges to give commands

jout uber it seems to make the summon deplete faster when used. And summons all do a finisher when they leave battle as well.

The only negative thing I have to say is I don’t like that the Master doesn’t try and hit the summoned party member he should be able to take some kind of damage that makes them have to leave the battle sooner

I don't care what people say. I am entirely grateful that we have this and it is amazing. Even with the minor disagreements I may have, everything else is exceeding it.

Persona 5 Royal and FFVII Remake within a couple weeks of each other. FML. And also Trials of Mana too...I'm hoping Trials gets a bad score, just so I don't buy it hahah.

Does anyone know what the purple text says under the damage score when you hit an enemy? It looks like it says "RELOAD" but I'm sure it doesn't. Its far too tiny to read and disappears immediately. Also, sometimes I can't upgrade a weapon even though I have enough SP (the SP is greyed out, with zero explanation).
Can anyone help me understand?

@@Kickass778 Thanks a lot man, I'm 60+ hours in the game (I think I'm in the final chapters) and I still hadn't been able to make out the tiny text lol. I learned this isn't a remake of the whole game but it feels longer than a lot of todays "full length" games, so the original game must've been huge. A really pleasant surprise of a game.

My only reason to not playing this game yet is because of the rabbit hole of a story it and the entire series can have and how the systems seem pretty dence and not very beginner friendly to the series

I always use Aerith up till that point. Her last few limits are unbelievably OP and fun to use.

So they are only releasing part 1 which takes place in migard...im very very disappointed. The game doesnt get interesting until after you leave midgard. I wont purcgase the game until all chapters are released.
