"Hello, my name is Jorday Rivera, and I am an expert in salsa. I own two dance studios in Queens, New York. We're going to be learning a progression of salsa moves so we can actually go out, practice, take it to the clubs, take it to a party, and you can show off all the great moves you learned.
You know, this is called a basic with a ""back step"". Remember, it is called a back. It is very very important for the males which are the leaders in the dance.
Now, we are going to do the breakdown of a basic with the back step. So we are going to start of course, like always, with that basic starting with the right leg. So we are going end, basic, one, two, three, hold, six, seven.
Once you're in this position, you are going to lead and so with your right leg.
You open up to the right side you go end, one, back, step, two, back, step, three, back, step, four, back, step.
One, two, three, five, six, seven, open, back, step.
One more time, I am going to end it, with the basic and forward, two, tree, five, six, seven, that's the breakdown of a basic with the back step.
This is very important for the leads.

@udx india: in salsa ladies always start from the right foot. it's a bit complicated, but If you were facing her (and you are her male partner), you would be stepping from your left on 1. There are better basic tutorials on CZcams that can help you understand better. It may be confusing because she doesn't talk in this video about how to dance the steps as a pair. Good luck!

why she is always starts from right leg
They do on2 mambo - with the women's steps - that basic start with the right going forward..
